She knows what all past prophets and prophetesses have experienced.  People don't believe it and they mock the messenger.  If the Man upstairs gets upset at evil societies and sends them hardships when they turn evil, in order to humble them as our scriptures teach, now is a good time, or as is good as any.  It's like no one believes the scriptures.  I mean I basically don't, but I didn't realize so many others did not either.

I think people believe the scriptures, they just don't believe that they need Julie Rowe to interpret them.  But, i really haven't put any effort into understanding Julie so maybe I don't completely understand why so many people are not fond of her.

It's been almost a year since the Rowe-ites in my neck of the woods stopped spending thousands of dollars on survival gear and living in their back yards to practice for the tent cities that they were sure were going to start popping up this last spring, so either some of her most ardent supporters have lost interest or they've taken it underground.

I'm feeling moved upon:

Moments of destruction will come to people on earth. They'll intermittently hit so many in different ways.  God wants faith and humility from people.  before any devastation comes if anyone suggests it, people will mock and deride not believing the messenger.  Past messengers must have been considered crazy people in past times.  It must be coming...piecing this together. 

I might feel it best to get knocked out dead by the destruction then prep though.  So while I appreciate her prediction, her message does little for me.  I'm supposed to get stuff?  No thanks.

I have a friend who is a prepper.  He's not so sure about Julie.  He keeps it quiet though, because as soon as he gets excited about it, someone comes along and shouts him down with mockery.  That is his take.  I just can't motivate myself to see things his way.

It took all the way to the end of the radio show, but here are her predictions. Trump is going to be shot, not sure if he'll die. Don't shop on Black Friday something about our credit cards or something. Also, by next year there will be nuclear attacks. She also said to stock up on toilet paper and water, but don't go in debt over it, just beware between now and Black Friday.

So, we only have until black friday to stock up on water and toilet paper?  But it's not important enough to go in debt over it?  

It's hard to understand why it would be important to stock up on water (something you need to live) but not important enough to buy some with a credit card (because debt is worse than dying??).

And what about shopping on black friday with cash?  Is that still safe?

It's nice to see her put some dates on her prophecies for a change though.

I vacillate between compassion for what may be a mental illness and anger over what may be deliberate fraud. But in either case, I don't believe a word she says.

I added to my post someone from another forum's thoughts as well. I guess I multi-tasked throughout the radio show, and missed plenty. And you're right, she does put dates, interesting.

It sounds like she is saying that yes, she has a mental illness but that doesn't mean we shouldn't believe her.  Is that what she means?

There's a vast spectrum of mental illnesses, some more severe than others. I'm not sure what kind of mental illness she suffers from. Depression or psychosis or something else. In any case, I can have compassion on anyone struggling with mental illness.

It does raise a salient question. Should we view the words of a prophet differently if the prophet is suffering from some type of mental illness or decreased mental capacity?

Interesting. I know nothing about lyme disease other than what you can find on google.  It says that it's caused by a bacteria that can attack different parts of the body and mimic certain psychological disorders like depression, bipolar disorders, dementia and Alzheimers.

Some thoughts:

We were told in geology class like 40 years ago that the Wasatch Fault was hundreds of years overdue for a big one, so that's not a surprise.

If she is a prophet, and she has seen the future, why wouldn't she be depressed?

Maybe she moved to Kansas City, KS, which is about as close to Jackson County as one can get w/o actually being in it.

FTR, I don't think she's a "prophet"-- all she is doing is regurgitating the same old stuff we've heard for years. But I can see some of it being possible--one good terrorist attack on the power grid could collapse most of the country and bring about a lot of this.

Ok, I listened a little to what Tacenda linked.  She's nuts.  But she's probably right in all that she said.  I ain't going shopping on Black Friday, even if I'm not sure what's going to happen on Obsidian Monday.  I think me and my family will be safe by heeding that particular warning.

I have a sister who suffers from mental illness.  There are times, like when she's off her meds, where she says all kinds of crazy things--things that would make this lady seem sane.  Anyway, I was thinking as I listened to the radio show, as a sibling, if my sister was trying to broadcast her nuttiness, I probably would figure out a way to convince her to stop.  I'm pretty good working with her when she's feeling nutty.  Anyway, I don't know what her family thinks and does about this stuff.  It makes me wonder though what they're thinking.

I have a relative whose child has Lyme's.  Major emotional issues.
