Popular Post Stargazer Posted April 3, 2016 Popular Post Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) Live-blogging it here, and I wish I could repeat some of what he has said so far, but this is a super talk! Here are some Tweets from the talk: "Love is the foundation stone of eternity, and it should be the foundation stone of our daily life." "The first great truth of all eternity is that God loves us with all of His heart, might, mind, and strength." "We take some solace in the fact that if God were to reward only the perfectly faithful, He wouldn’t have much of a distribution list." "The great thing about the gospel is we get credit for trying, even if we don’t always succeed." "With the gift of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the strength of heaven to help us, we can improve." Edited April 3, 2016 by Stargazer 6

There are only a couple I have not been fond of. And he personally helped me through a rough time many years ago when I sent him a personal letter and God bless him he sent me a personal response. I will always love him for that. Edited April 4, 2016 by Teancum 9

Being the obedient member - you know, the kind certain people like to mock - I ate a dark chocolate Dove ice cream bar immediately after conference. 3

I always look forward to him and President Eyring..

I grabbed me some coconut gelatto and sprinkled it with with hershey's baking cocao...but waited an hour or too just to be a punk.
Johnnie Cake Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Not good to stand between me and my waiting ice cream...
pcarthew Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 (edited) Elder Holland has an ability to connect your soul to Heaven and you listen to him. He has a great gift in the way he can put his words together. Edited April 4, 2016 by pcarthew
Buckeye Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 It was a great address. My top three from this conference (in no particular order) were Elder Holland, Elder Uchtdorf (Priesthood session) and Elder Kearon's address on refugees. I hear that the Women's Session was also top notch.

Yeah, I wish they would allow me to attend. My daughters went with their mother, and went out for ice cream afterward. I was left home to sulk. Edited April 5, 2016 by cdowis 1
