Saint Sinner Posted August 7, 2015 Author Posted August 7, 2015 I hear it's not bad ... once the maggots are dead. They're dead when you've properly digested them. For days I was paranoid they were still crawling on my tongue.
Saint Sinner Posted August 7, 2015 Author Posted August 7, 2015 Ew! Just looked it up!You've got no idea. The smell is horrific.

Kenngo1969 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Cookie dough mixed with BBQ sauce. What would possess you to eat such a thing in the first place?
Saint Sinner Posted August 7, 2015 Author Posted August 7, 2015 What would possess you to eat such a thing in the first place? Seriously! I could not imagine chocolate chip cookies and bbq.
Kenngo1969 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I had a missionary companion who ate grilled cheese sandwiches with peanut butter and syrup. Mmmm-mmm! Comfort food!
ERayR Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I had a missionary companion who ate grilled cheese sandwiches with peanut butter and syrup. Mmmm-mmm! Comfort food! Peanut butter and cheddar cheese on crackers is quite good also.
Mola Ram Suda Ram Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 That's because everything tastes better with bacon.Quoted for truth. The Bacon Lord knows!.
Rivers Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 What would possess you to eat such a thing in the first place? It was part of a game. I lost.
Raingirl Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I had a missionary companion who ate grilled cheese sandwiches with peanut butter and syrup. Mmmm-mmm! Comfort food! I am trying to imagine this and just.....can't. But perhaps it is just because I loathe syrup.Perhaps you have inspired a new thread, though.....strange things we've been known to eat and are willing to admit to!
Rivers Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I also tried a Twinkie Weener sandwich. Twinkie with hotdog and easy cheese. Didn't hold it down.
hagoth7 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 The worst food I ever tasted was a taco at Jack in the Box last month. I couldn't believe how nasty it tasted. (I normally like their food.) As an aside, someone in a former ward once ate a live slug for ten dollars. Not sure if that can be called food.

Rain Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Green, yellow or red peppers. Just the smell will make it so I can't eat something else.Raw tomatoes.American cheeseAnything with saccharine. Had one if the best pizzas in Italy with DH. Loved it. So we tried anchovies on the next pizza because we figured if anchovies were any good they would be good at the best pizza place. They were nasty. 1

(I normally like their food.)As an aside, someone in a former ward once ate a live slug for ten dollars. Not sure if that can be called food. When I was in 5th grade one of the 6th graders said she would eat 10 live worms if every 6th grader would give her a dollar. They all gathered around and watched her. Unfortunately, the bell rang and I saw her drop the last one in her mouth as she ran inside.
Saint Sinner Posted August 9, 2015 Author Posted August 9, 2015 Went to dinner with a friend. We decided to be adventurous. We shared a plate of half cooked snails on a bed of pineapple and pea puree with a honey lemon vinaigrette. It was awful. The texture freaked me out.
hagoth7 Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Now this made me gag... GGApologies. Those from the Pacific NW can best appreciate the grossness of slugs. BTW, my family and I were in your general neck of the woods on vacation a week ago, and I wondered how you were doing.

Kenngo1969 Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) I'm not a big fan of liverwurst. Or of "potted meat food product." I doubt it can be good if it has to have the word "food" in its name simply to convince people to eat it: "No, really: this stuff is edible. Honest!" Edited August 10, 2015 by Kenngo1969 1
Kenngo1969 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I also tried a Twinkie Weener sandwich. Twinkie with hotdog and easy cheese. Didn't hold it down.Goodness, gracious! Do you people do these types of things on bets, or what?!
Garden Girl Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Japanese Natto Ron... what is it? (Type of food?) GG
