This article started popping up on Facebook, and my first thought upon seeing the pictures was "That's a Mormon Temple".

So instead of reading and pondering the wisdom found in the article, I set out to figure out which Temple it is.  I think I've figured it out.  Any guesses?

clues are, snow in background, small pine or fir tree, the couple looks like an early 2000's style, Temple is white so my guess is Toronto, Bountiful, Mt. Timponogas, Portland or possibly Washington, D.C.

They were married 16 years so and the tree looks like it was just planted, so the temple was probably built early to mid 90s.

Then I'm going to go with the Bountiful temple.

You know those newer temples all look alike.

I don't think it's Portland because the temple has distinctive marble exterior...

Then I'm going to go with the Bountiful temple.

My son was sealed there, beautiful inside and out...my favorite to drive down I15 and see. Edited by Bill “Papa” Lee

Im going to go with DC. Just looks like it to me.

That is,what I thought too, but "Cal" pointed out the trees and how long ago the Temple might be...D.C. Is much older, I went there in 1982, while in the Army.

Edit to add...Atlanta Temple was under construction at time and I was station at Fort Benning, GA (In Columbus GA). But even then Washington D.C. was our district Temple. We went up on a bus, come back the bus driver let us use his PA for a testimony meeting. When I bore mine, I asked everyone to share theirs the following day...bold for a 26 year old. Our testimony meeting for our Ward lasted all three hours, I thought all on the bus were not listening to my pitiful request. Remind to tell everyone what I experienced at the Atlanta Temple dedication.

I think it looks like the outside of the Preston, England temple. But there are probably other temples with similar walls.

Maybe, but I was there for a week do work and it looked like Swiss Temple where I was sealed to my wife. Oh and the two children we already had, being coverts, they were 5 and 2 1/2. They brought them into the Sealing Room and they laid their hands upon ours on the alter...not a dry eye in the room. Edited by Bill “Papa” Lee

This is the temple in my district and is seen from a long distance away because of it's position on a hill. I was able to take my oldest daughter to the dedication when she was really young. You'd think I'd know it real well!

My ward is really involved with temple work. The youth were recently taught how to get family names.  Then all the families, all ages, walked from a place below, a park maybe, and walked quite a ways to the temple. I wasn't there, so I don't know what happened when they got to the top. Then the next morning the youth got up super early, like 4:45 am, to do baptisms for the dead. Then throughout the day the adults did several sessions. They said there were 200 names submitted.  I guess now our ward has a file in the temple, they can walk in and go right to it and find our ward then pull the card with a name of a relative to someone in my ward. Someone from the Stake Presidency made this announcement last Sunday. And the ward's undertaking occurred last month.

In the article, he says they were married for 16 years, so this isn't a Temple built during the recent construction boom.
