Other than that, I don't think there were more specifics described. Perhaps it's the product of those heavenly silkworms created spiritually first... I can live with wearing that for eternity.

How do we know that is not the formal attire of a messenger?

I'm not sure if being innocent has anything to do withwhether one wears clothes or not. A picture in the 1997 GP also depicts the spirit children (pre-mortal life) wearing clothes too. Gail

The sum total of our experiences and how we thought, acted and what we learned from them are who we are. I agree... one of the purposes of coming to this earth was to be tried and tested, and to gain as much knowlege/wisdom that we can. I think it was Brigham that said that whatever knowledge we obtain here will rise with us... GG

Your request reminds me of a story: It seems St. Peter was sent to a particularly valiant individual and when he showed himself to this person and told him he was here to reward him the individual requested a large amount of gold. As I understand the Plan of Salvation, we don't pass through yet another veil before entering the Celestial Kingdom, and that tells me that, yes, we take the knowledge we gain here (as well as that which is gained during immortality before receiving our final inheritance) with us. I think Joseph Smith's visions are instructive. For example, he described what Moroni was wearing in reasonable detail. Well, the way I see it...modesty is "needed" only because we sexualize the human body because we aren't perfect because from time to time we have impure thoughts. I'm counting on all of the visions of various individuals from ancient down to Joseph showing people that were clothed, and I'm counting on that continuing to be the case...Seriously, I do IMO think we will be covered with some type of simple clothing... we will have knowledge of good and evil and as soon as Adam/Eve gained that knowledge, thus becoming "like the gods," they covered themselves. Jazzdreamer Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 My memory is that he just reports a robe and not necessarily anything underneath that...anyone know specifics..Personally I am thinking that heaven being what it is, we will be able to wear what we want but will likely vary it according to environment just as we do here. Perhaps we will have recreational times where we assume more 'mortal' characteristics and go riding in pickups or on horses (which I would love to do since I've never been able to really manage it in the here and now and probably won't ever now since the last time I got on a horse, my medications amost made me fall off).Prof, I love linen as well...I am going to get myself a linen cover for my comforter for Christmas.Don't laugh...but I think this further proves my naked opinion....I mean bodies are sexualized here on earth...so any angel that may come to visit us on earth would wear clothes....
