He believes he knows secrets and "The Government" wants to shut him up...he thought his toothpaste is bugged by them so he uses homebrew. You can't get onto his property without him seeing you or knowing about it as he has video cameras everywhere. His family is equally nutso. One son claims to have possibly seen a drug deal go down on a highway and now, years, later, he is afraid the H*lls Angels are after him and his family and it goes on and on. He also used them to teach children how to recognize and avoid land mines which were all over the place. They literally made commercials and comic books with the ideas they wanted kids to embrace. Those were noble missions and helped slow down the carnage.That said, we also use similar tactics to achieve goals that are less friendly to the local populations around the world and much less overt when situations demand (by our estimation). While the US military is forbidden from using psyop at home, other government agencies are free to use the same techniques to control individuals and populations (national and international) and they do. Considering that our nation is not printing it's own money, I'm not sure that we do get it. We are completely enslaved to a very secret combination.

Ether Chapter 8 plainly and unambiguously warns the modern day Restored Church that the devil will generate another gigantic secret combination to destroy freedom, the family, righteousness, and every other thing inspired and approved of by God. And there is absolutley no logical reason to dismiss out of hand the possibility that Moroni's prophesied modern, world-wide secret combination would be run in almost exactly the same way the ancient ones were.
