Someone brought this up on "A Thoughtful Faith FB Group"

Scroll down on both sites and see the same women holding two different pictures, one of the Saviour and one of the Gen. RS Presidency. What is going on here? I could just skip this and move on but I just can't, is there a problem of false advertising here? Does the Ensign do this alot, use pics and doctor them up? Are these women even LDS? According to the FB poster, the church sometimes buys from Getty (whoever that is) random photos and uses them in articles. To me this is dishonest. Or am I making a mountain out of a mole hill? Am I the only one that believed pictures in the Ensign are actual members of the church?

The funny thing is, there is nothing "Federal" about those notes, neither is there a "reserve" to back up the notes.

There is nothing special about gold. The world and the US has had plenty of economic depressions(formally called Panics) while using the Gold Standard. Because then it could be averted. Now, I fear the reason it is not mentioned today is because it is everlastingly too late! Go back and read the Book of Mormon and liken it to today! That is why it was revealed to us. So we could see the truth. The Prophet today has told us what we can do today to protect us from the wrath of God that is coming upon us. In 1988 we were still in the Cold War and it was getting ready to end, not because we had defeated the evil empire (Soviet communist empire) but they had emploded and had to give in and tear down the wall. That did not change the hearts of the communists/socialists, they just changed tactics. The beast of Islamic terrorism was rising even then. In the early 1990's while the sun was setting on the Soviet Union the first World Trade Center bombing occurred (not with the devistation of 2001 but it was a terror attack). The communist beast has only been wounded, the largest country in the world is dominated by communism (China). Look at North Korea! Without getting too political, suffice it to say when socialized medicine was first proposed it was rejected. The time was not right, but the conspirators were still in the government and they waited until they could strike. The 2000 election is another example of attempted conspiracy to overthrow an election. Now in 2014 we are going to have the biggest shift in the private sector to full fledged socialized medicine. Look at the economy our riches are truly becoming slippery. These secret combinations are not necessarily connected together but all have the same goals, power, wealth, and destruction of freedom. Why not speak out plainly against a suspected current sitting government? Two reasons, number one it would make the Church a target and they would try to destroy us. Two what could any of us really do? The election is over. There is also a possible third reason, many would be offended and harden their hearts or call the Prophet a nut, just like some on this board already are saying about President Benson. The time for warning is past, now we must endure the tribulations and build up Zion in the last days. How could we do that if we were declared to be traitors and guilty of sedition. So, whats the conspiracy that you have found to be true? I keep asking over the years and nobody either knows, doesnt want to say, or their theory is outright bunk.

I look for solid facts. I remeber a few years ago when someone brought up that the Council on Foreign Relations was a main part of this secret combination. I did my own research and actually found out that the LDS church had a representative on the committee at the CFR. Did that thus mean that the LDS church too was part of this conspiracy? The problem almost always comes down to something said pout of context, one person speaking but not officially representing, etc. Do I see obvious fact based secret combinations within our own government? Yes, from time to time you hear of corruption of elected officials, payoffs that are outide lawful means, criminals that are protected or found not guilty, etc. But, for the most part our elected officials rule justly, obey the laws and do not infringe upon our freedom through their weilding of power in unrighteous manners. Above all- we are not stoning our prophets to death nor is their a trail of murder everywhere the government is involved.

These videos are absurd because they are so easy to research. For example, around the 1:12:00 mark they present a series of scary claims about different "Executive Orders" (i.e. provisions enacted under the authority of the President of the United States).

Nowhere in the order is "Congress" mentioned, nor the duration of "six months", nor a "state of emergency". It's a fairly rudimentary outline of how the federal, state and local governments would work together in times of emergency. The "President" isn't mentioned anywhere in it either, other than the note at the beginning.

So you found no problems in the first hour and a half of the video? Because that is the part about the federal reserve that I was interested in. He makes some pretty radical claims and branches off into different theories toward the end which cannot be substantiated, but the part about the federal reserve is accurate.

Jesus was killed by the government. My understanding is Paul was beheaded, so that was probably also a government execution. Early LDS suffered persecution and assassination by the government. Does that help answer your question?

Yes sir! It reminds me of our LDS history and doctrine. There are bad parts of our history and doctrine but also good parts. But, it all comes down to who or where you get your information. One by one each conspiracy needs to be disected and evaluated.

2. "Their works are in the dark," hid from scrutiny and the prying eyes of men. They are, therefore, left unmolested as they diligently apply themselves to their abominable business of obtaining unrighteous power and gain.

They say this because they are confident the diabolical criminal craft they've learned from the adversary of men's souls will keep their criminal enterprises unseen and unknown by the world of men until -- short of the intervention of God himself -- it will be too late to do anything about it.

Look, if you want to discuss conspiracy theories you actually have to lay one out there. Its impossible to discuss if one exists if one doesnt put forth the specific conspiracy. I'll only go this far:

I once had a convesation with Robert Mcnamara, former Secretary of Defence and former head of the World Bank. and he very frankly admitted to me that the goal of he and his elitist friends in the halls of power was to create a one world government -- a global governmental and economic system wherein the United States would be just another state within a conglomerated world superstate (Tower of Babel, anybody?).

In order to accomplish this we'd have to scrap the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution (Constitution hanging by a thread, anyone?). So there, I heard it straight from the horses mouth. Get over it if you can. Though there is much, much more I could say on the subject, this is the end of any attempt at specificity on my part. Like I said, I don't want to get booted. Let's just agree to disagree, okay?

I think people don't want to believe that these two scum sucking lowlifes were responsible, they have to be part of something bigger. Just like some folks don't want to believe that someone as big and neat as JFK was killed by the likes of LHO.

FWIW I don't believe in conspiracy theories. These two bozos were responsible but people can't accept it and cook up some better sounding story

I believe in a couple of conspiracy theories, which actually seem to fit the facts better than the official explanation, and no I am not going to talk about them. Pointless.

As to these two lowlifes, the elder of the two spent 6 months or so possibly hanging out at some terrorist training camp or other in Chechnya. He was clearly well-trained, and prepared thoroughly (had lots of pressure cooker bombs, for example). There MAY have been some over here who were helping him out (besides his brother), and possibly his brother might let some info on that slip out. Or a thorough investigation of emails, social media, and so on might reveal this. So, the only conspiracy I am willing to countenance is a conspiracy between these two brothers and one or more others here in the US, along with whomever he was training with in Chechnya.

I have a friend who was a former board member on the world bank.. they have no such goal. It is true that there are people in positions of extreme wealth and power who want a one world government. But, in truth, that is also the objective of building Zion. Its all in the details that matter. I myself long for the day when we can all live in peace with one world governing power- that of Christ.

Btw, I have done some research into the objectives of the world bank and they have no goal of establishing a one world government. Neither do they have an objective of destroying the constitution.

I'm only telling you exactly what Mcnamara told me. I had to practically drag it out of him, but he finally admitted to it. I wonder why he was so loath to admit to it at first?

Remember, we're talking about a hidden, diabolical conspiracy here (you know, the one President Benson solemnly testified to when he spoke as a prophet of God in General Conference?). We wouldn't particularly expect its participants to broadcast their diabolically criminal plans to the world over a giant megahorn, would we? You should know it's the devil's modus operandi to keep his pet projects and plans a profound secret; he wants his earthly minions to keep their participation in his conspiracies under wraps, that's why a prophet is needed to expose these hidden works of darkness executed in the dark, as it were. And so we read:

23 And the Lord said: I will prepare unto my servant Gazelem, a stone, which shall shine forth in darkness unto light, that I may discover unto my people who serve me, that I may discover unto them the works of their brethren, yea, their secret works, their works of darkness, and their wickedness and abominations." (Alma 37)

Through the stone of Gazelem, the Prophet Joseph Smith was able to transmit the prophet Moroni's dire warning of the hidden worldwide secret combination, built up by the devil himself, that would seek in our day "to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries; and (bring) to pass the destruction of all people." Then, in our day, another prophet who possessed the Spirit of Gazelem -- if you will -- testified to the Church of the present literal fulfillment of Moroni's prophecy. Through this means, hidden things have been brought out into the light for those with eyes to see and ears to hear.

I'm now wondering if it would be wise to carry on this dialogue any further. After all, if you won't believe President Benson, what's the use of my continuing to try to persuade? Like I said, why don't we just agree to disagree?
