The Dark Side Of Home Food Storage

In the interests of being ticky-tacky accurate, the cookbook in the Twilight Zone was titled "To Serve Man". :tribal:

That first link (what little I read) sounds like a hyper version of Rosemary's Baby. :o

Hard to even speculate where some of this stuff comes from.

I almost (almost) think that food storage item was TIC/parody. I mean, are there people who really think we are out do stuff like that?

I found this interesting, "The bloody horror of the Donner party is a crime that will haunt the Mormon people forever and is central to the Prepper movement. ‘Prepping’ is a way to avoid empty bellies and eating the weak from the LDS herd first as some back-weird thinking form of compassionate canabalism. Yes, joining this dangerous movement puts many Christians on a fast track to becoming a long pork feast for the LDS Church."

I must have slept through some of my history classes... :tribal:

No fair! I went to the blog, and the link to the article about food storage won't work for me.

It took me forever to download all the extraneous material.

But, given the following credentials, who could doubt the author: "Her many years experience as a wife, mother, ladies book club president and financial auditor make her well suited to ferreting out the truth and giving it a sound shake."

Thanks, -Wade Englund-

You really ought to see the item that I just posted on my blog about food storage.

Really. You ought to.

This has got to be a spoof. Got to be.

Who could possibly take that kind of nonsense seriously?

And am I about to regret asking that question?

Pahoran

Well... you do know the reptile men live inside the hollow earth, and the Church office building is Spook central, the nest from which they hatch.

According to wikipedia, it looks like the website is similar to the Onion. So, not to be taken at face value. I sure do hope there's no one that really believes that.

Whether we're cannibals or not scarcely matters. In any case, our leaders are still shape-shifting lizard men from another planet:

What's the matter with you? You are exposing the secret! They're gonna get you now!

Edit:

Dang Pahoran anyway! Beating me to it! ;)

Actually I suspect it's a kind of psychological warfare on Dan's part. By exposing our innermost secrets, he's lulling the critics into a false sense of security. After all, if a Mormon is laughing about this then it couldn't possibly be true, right?

Well, think again!

Incidentally, have you noticed that the name of his blog looks like it should be pronounced similarly to deceptocon? Of course he has plausible deniability, because his initials are DCP and the expression "Sic et non" translates roughly as "thus and not" or "yes and no," which is just the sort of thing a professorial type might come up with. But he's really laughing (well, cackling fiendishly, really) at his critics by telling them just how cleverly he's deceiving them without them even noticing!

I am surprised you didn't understand the true significance of the name.

Clearly "sic a nun" refers to the Mormon penchant for eating Catholic nuns alive. He is only trying to cover it up by changing the spelling slightly.

Of course I think you are some kind of a dirty furriner anyway and don't know American slang. http://www.urbandict...erm=sic%20%27em

Besides I never liked Abelard anyway.

But only on Friday. [/rimshot]

Daniel,

I got to meet Duffy at the Kirtland Sunstone Symposium. He is, um, "interesting". While there were some wonderful people at the symposium, there were also some that I'm convinced had lizard DNA....
