One of our great old members! Unseen, at least by me, for a decade? Maybe a little less.  We're already almost 1/4 of a century into the one we're in. Anyway, thanks Doc for the thumbs up. Be good. God be with you.

Seeing your post makes my innards smile.  Yeah, it's probably been close to a decade since I was around these parts.  Was pretty angsty, so kept mainly to other pastures as to keep this joint kosher.  Life (and heart) seem to be finding calmer waters, so ended up going for a walkabout to the old neighborhood.

I think we've "known" each other now for close to 20 years.  Wild how time flies, both in the real world, and in the quaint corners of the internet, where virtual (yet as real as can be) friendships are formed.

My deepest friendships have been online except for a few, one being my ‘second son’ who came over often to our home, apparently much more often than I remembered.  He let me know this past week we were a second home to him, especially when he needed it.  I finally can check off living one of my most important dreams, having the home kids felt at home in.  I was pretty sure I had managed a decent job just by numbers, but one of them putting it into words and more important hugs meant much more.

Just had to share that bit, it’s been gushing out off and on the last few days.  My life seems to have been fuller than I knew.

Thank you so much for being one of those homes.  I have two childhood friends homes that were similar for me.  Their moms are my moms, as far as my ticker is concerned.

That is what he said.  It is one of the most moving and meaningful things I have been told…25 years later he still feels that way though we have only seen each other twice and are so bad at long distance communication, though each time it’s like there was no gap.

Haven’t heard anything.  I wonder if @SteveO has (I think they are relatives, though he may not be in contact with other family members).

OK, I finally beat my head against the wall long enough to come up with the guy. I believe his name is Steve Smith, aka "Dusty". He came on into the Social Hall a loooonnnggg time ago talking about how he was starting to come back to church. Later he forgot he posted using his original screen name and came on with another screen name. I don't remember either of them. 

He's in this Saints Unscripted video:

“I am so torn” is the name of the thread, Stevedallas is the one who started it.

I searched on dallas and then went to his profile and looked at his posts hoping to see one about Garden Girl and came across that one.

Watched the video, and he said that his second screen name was Country Boy. Not sure about the space, but I searched on "country", and 2 members but not him.

I remembered that name and actually posted it above, except then I went and looked for it and couldn’t find it, so thought I was wrong.  I think he changed it again…but maybe he asked for it to be deleted as too much personal info was on it.

Is there a way to search for your old posts on FB if they are not on your profile, but someone else’s?  Or maybe old notifications that someone responded if you remember around when you did it and have too much free time you need to fill by searching.

Thanks, it was strange that several Dusty Smith's came up but not him when i searched on FB. And with your link here I went to his profile and found our conversation. I c/p'd the ones about GG. I'm in the blue portions. This was in December 2018, so quite a while. Time flies!
