rodheadlee Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 I could use some prayers for patience. I let my anger get the better of me last week and I'm having a hard time repenting of it. Had surgery back in January everything went fine but I wasn't allowed to lift more than 10 lbs for 8 weeks. That's just not who I am. I made it to the end of my time. But my patience is shot. Thanks I appreciate you all. 4

Or deserved!

That's true but my lack of patience was running into other parts of my life. I almost got myself thrown into a Mexican jail last week for mouthing off. Not a good look for a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 1

Calm Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 Sorry it’s been rough, Rod. Glad to hear you’ve recovered. Prayers for you and yours, of course. 1
manol Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 (edited) Prayers for you my friend. And a link to a song from a concert in the 80's (actually this is just the second half of the song); this one always lifts me up a notch or two: Renaissance - Ashes Are Burning - YouTube Edited February 27, 2024 by manol 2
Calm Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 (edited) Good choice, manol…glad you mentioned them, I need to go get a good dose of uplift myself…. This is the one that always cheers me up… Come along with me Down into the world of seeing Come, and you'll be free Take the time to find the feeling See everything on its own And you'll find you know the way And you'll know the things you're shown Owe everything to the day See the carpet of the sun The green grass soft and sweet Sands upon the shores of time Of oceans mountains deep Part of the world that you live in You are the part that you're giving Come into the day Feel the sunshine warmth around you Sounds from far away Music of the love that found you The seed that you plant today Tomorrow will be a tree And living goes on this way It's all part of you and me See the carpet of the sun The green grass soft and sweet Sands upon the shores of time Of oceans mountains deep Part of the world that you live in You are the part that you're giving See the carpet of the sun The green grass soft and sweet Sands upon the shores of time Of oceans mountains deep Part of the world that you live in You are the part that you're giving See the carpet of the sun See the carpet of the sun See the carpet of the sun See the carpet of the sun Edited February 27, 2024 by Calm 2
rodheadlee Posted March 2, 2024 Author Posted March 2, 2024 I had great patience driving up California today. 740 miles, traffic, rain, bit of snow and no temper tantrums. Thanks! 1
