Castor oil and other oils to the rescue...

My first post in a long long time. I've wanted to share this to those that could use it. I am sharing a video among many coming out that seems more on the level so using hers.

Curious if any of you have had it work for any of your ails or needs. I'm currently using it but haven't done so for very long. In the video she shared that it helped her vision, eczema, detoxified, helped wrinkles and dark spots, bowel movements and maybe more I'm forgetting.

In the comments is where the gold is for sure. There's three thousand or more comments to read through. She's not the only one with a video, but I like hers because she kept saying she's not for sure on anything. So she's giving it a year to see for sure.

I want to share this with friends that have the problems that come up in her video and the comments. Especially with a friend that suffers so much pain from neuropathy in her feet. And another with eczema.

Wanted to try it out here first, to see if any others have good experiences. And also to help those that it may help. Thanks for reading!

In the past I had great success with a high omega 3, primrose oil for my neuropathy on my feet and even now I have less pain in my feet if I am consistent in taking it.  There is science backing that.

And keeping skin moist can help with eczema and other skin issues.  Castor oil is used in a lot of cosmetics.

My doctor prescribed omega 3s daily for me.

I can see it is possible for everything but vision, don’t see why it would help with that.  I have an eye issue and it certainly has not helped with that taking it internally and this site says it can be dangerous using it externally near the eyes.

Dr. Donny W. Suh, a pediatric ophthalmologist with the  UCI Health Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, spoke to MDLinxabout whether the treatment has scientific validity.

“There is no scientific evidence to support claims made by TikTokers about [castor oil’s] benefits for vision including treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, floaters, presbyopia or other eye problems.”

In fact, getting castor oil in the eye, he said, can cause eye irritation, reduced tear quality, blurred vision and allergic reactions. It also can block lubricating glands in the eyelid, resulting in dry eye

Did you research it to make sure you are using it safely?

So, if I drip some castor oil onto my eyeball, I can skip my cataract surgery? 🤦‍♀️

Sarcasm, huh? Sure, and drinking bleach will cure Covid.

Calm, they say to not put it in the eyes directly, just by rubbing on the eyelids it's supposedly helped people see better including the gal in the video. So think she was just using it to help eyelashes grow and for wrinkles and had the unexpected happen. I read on another video from someone else someone say it helped their night vision, so not using it inside eye just topically.

I think if I do my face and who body I will add in the other oils she shows at the end, because when I did it the first time I put straight castor oil all over my face and slept overnight, and I think it started a rash, but maybe it's like a spa treatment and it sloughed off a bunch of dead skin cells. I think people pay hundreds to have that done, lol.

But I know I get on a roll with treating my ailments, so I'm hoping it's not like that, and I look at it critically at first just in case.

The eyelids are so thin whatever gets put on the lids is getting absorbed and is more than likely in contact with the eyes.  I would not do that without checking with your eye doctor first. Do not fool around with your eyes.

And there are people who are sensitive to castor oil, you should really talk to your dermatologist.  I don’t think oil is supposed to do that dermaabrasion or whatever it is called.  And check the other oils out too.

There is no evidence for the eyesight. It could be wishful thinking or something else they were doing helped.  This stuff can be dangerous, please, please check with a doctor first.

Your skin is an organ, having stuff on your skin is like taking it internally at times, just harder to know how much is absorbed. You can easily overdo “natural” remedies that way and harm yourself like my brother did accidentally by taking too many supplements that had vitamin B in it.  He causes neuropathy with that. Thankfully the doctor caught it before the harm was permanent.

How many beavers had to die to get all this Castor oil ?🥴  ( yes , I know it is made from a bean )

It raises red flags to me when a substance is said to help a dozen different ailments. Many years ago there was an oil made from snakes IIRC...

There is no way rubbing anything on your eyelids is going to improve one’s vision. I wish people would stop spreading such nonsense.

That will cure whatever ails you, because there’s a pretty good chance you’ll be dead!

Well, my idea was good to put this here first. I worried my friends or family might react the same way. And I do understand how. :)

The combination of adding grapeseed oil to my protein shakes, and taking 3 grams of fish oil daily, helped so much with my radiculopathy pain.  I had stumbled upon a study using high amounts of poly-unsaturated fat for treating diabetic nerve fun, and figured I'd give it a go.  Between it, and peptide therapy, I've been able to go off opioids, and can walk without a cane for the first time in about 3 years.  It's incredible what our bodies can do, when they're given the right tools.

Man, I wish it had that effect on rls, I am so done with the opioid side effects that are happening now I got fibro as well as the rls to deal with.

How much Omega 3 Fatty Acids are you likely taking?  My over the counter one pill a day without fish breath version is 860 mg total (about 4/3 of a gram of oil)

Maybe I should talk to my pain doctor about increasing the dose. (I got it from my endocrinologist). Looks like I should ask him about peptide therapy as well.

Probably about 900mg total.  I just use the regular strength GNC brand.  One in the morning, and two at night.  As far as I know, the only (primary) risk of taking too much fish oil is that it can tinker with clotting factors, and cause bleeding and/or blood pressure issues.  I have high blood pressure issues, so that "adverse" side effect is actually a godsend.

Peptide therapy is kind of "gray market" at the moment, because not too many pharmacies will fill scripts because most of the compounds are still in the unapproved drug realm as far as the FDA goes.  Still might be worth checking to see if your doctor will do it, or will sign off on you going with an online clinic.  That is, assuming they can help with fibro and rls.

All of that being said:  BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-cu and CJC-1295, along with the oil combo, is what took me from having only maybe 50% of the feeling in my thigh and calf, to now almost having 90% of the feeling back.  It also all but eliminated the leg nerve pain, and the mechanical pain in my back (degenerative discs, and bone spurs).  The BPC-157 also reversed a lot of the gut problems I was having because of my chronic NSAID use.

I had gone through physical therapy, multiple epidurals, a discectomy/laminectomy, and facet injections before finally going rogue and doing the above hail Mary after spelunking through medical journals for anything and everything that helped with nerve regrowth/repair, blood vessel formation, and cartilage/collagen fun.

It really has been nothing short of miraculous.  I'm still in disbelief.  In October of 2022, my legs stopped functioning completely, and I lay paralyzed on my kitchen floor, calling desperately for my (ex)wife or son.  Now, here I am, walking 2 miles a day, and lifting weights again.  It's pretty bonkers.

Would something like this help with knee pain due to cartilage being shot?  You mentioned cartilage….friend of a friend could use a miracle of sorts…is this expensive?

Yes, it could definitely help, and it unfortunately can be pretty expensive.  It's running me a little over $300/month right now.  I will be dropping two of the things soon though, which will help.  Then, after another month, I'll start doing 1-2 months on, and 1 month off (with hopefully eventually extending the time off gradually).  Comparatively though, epidurals were costing me about $1,300 each, then $150/month pain management doc, $40/month drug testing (for opioid contract), plus all of the time I missed from work.  Overall, the peptide therapy is likely cheaper, and has drastically improved quality of life.

In my opinion, BPC-157 is the heavy-hitter, that has the widest application for healing, if they only had funds to try a single peptide.  Adding in GHK-Cu with the BPC would probably be the most bang-for-your-buck combo.  I boogered up my knees playing soccer as a teen.  I have a crap ton of arthritis in them now.  I have seen some improvement in pain, and mobility, but nowhere near what I've experienced for the nerve/back fun.  I think that once bone changes have happened, it greatly inhibits what can be accomplished therapeutically.  BPC-157 is also one of the peptides that has a fairly good amount of human studies if you want to go journal spelunking.

I've been dealing with that for several years now, but was thinking there wasn't much I could do about it. Did you have a particular product or formulation that worked well?

Hey, wow, Doc! I am so pleased to see you here! It's been so long that I thought you might have shuffled off this mortal coil! Welcome back! :)

Nope. At first I just rubbed EPO (that has omega 6 in it) on my feet as I thought it was a skin thing, my skin being too dry or something. Once it got constant and worse, I found out it was a neuropathy thing, I took evening primrose oil internally,  but it was just stuff I got from the health food store. Can’t remember the brand.  A couple years ago my endocrinologist prescribed concentrated omega-3 and have been taking that, but it’s generic.
