Why would anyone be upset?  That's what they've always been called.

According to the style guide the church put out when the term Mormon Is used as part of a proper noun (like Mormon Battalion) it’s correct to use the term Mormon.

So Mormon Crickets is all good.

Anyone who uses the name Mormon, don’t want to hear a sermon. Nor do they have the time, I just tell the correct name and move on.
