It comes from the surfing culture. A perfect wave is one that breaks so as to form a tube inside which the surfer can surf. This can be expressed as "tubular" and is also called a "pipeline". Something that is "tubular" is "right on!"

I always think of Tubular Bells….loved the music, never saw the movie.  Obviously not what was intended though.

Can't (won't  ) get through the paywall, but Elder Andeson made this statement 18+ months ago (I recall it from General Conference). Why is the SLT writing a feature on it now?

It gives an error when loading.

Anyone else notice the search function has improved dramatically on the website?  They are using google now with some nice user friendly modifications.
