Adjusting temperature in Buildings

What are your opinions on manually adjusting the AC in buildings?

My building has digital thermostats, the RS room and Primary are often warm, I use those rooms during sacrament to listen because the Chapel is too loud for my ears. I usually lower the temperature to make it cooler.

I am for it.

Same thing, same reasons. In short, I get more out of less uncomfortable meetings.

Concert-level volumes might work for rocky evangelical worship but it wasn't a great fit for our sacrament meetings.

Do you pay your tithing?  If so, then go for it.  But be a good steward and turn it off when you're done using it :)

They make it adjustable for that reason. If they didn’t want people to be able to change the temperature a bit up or down we wouldn’t be able to.

So go ahead and make it cooler.   The sisters will make it warmer when they show up. 😂

If the temp was not to be changed, the thermostat would have a basket cage over it.

It's all about agency, yes, so we have to be given a choice.  God's plan places a high emphasis on man's agency...

I believe you have to have the Priesthood and a current temple recommend in order to be authorized to alter the temperature

Well, it is true that one has to have to proper " keys " .

I'm in Texas, so if the AC isn't already set to the lowest setting whenever we come into the building, I think you have a moral obligation to adjust it accordingly. ;)
