What I got from studying it was the Priesthood is an order of order as detailed in the latter sections and sufficiently organized for the Church's needs while women may receive different callings.  Example:  Emma is an elect lady, but her first calling is to support her husband as the prophet while her additional work mentioned does not overlap his, but is based on her own talents.  I read it and was quite certain it meant no changes coming.  Women were to work with what we are already given.

I once asked a female missionary in person about the royal priesthood of believers (in 1
Peter 2:5,9) and she was not quite sure how to answer, so she said she would get back to
me. She never did reply to my followup email.

Or what about allowing women to participate in their own children's baby blessing. They are after all the mother of that baby. If I understand correctly it is a non-saving ordinance. If women are allowed to participate in the Temple ordinances, why are women not allowed to participate in a baby blessing?

I personally love that there is something of high value in the Church that has men publicly and meaningfully interacting with infants or children.  Rather than making it coed, I would prefer something equally as important and meaningful for women.  Restoring the new mother anointing is the most likely avenue for that imo.  Also allowing women to give health blessings as they once did as opposed to saying it is okay to more or less just offer a prayer or place their hands with their husband's on their child....though I would also hope this latter becomes more encouraged and becomes more ritualized as when two men are blessing.  There is something really beautiful to me about the image of two parents laying their hands on their sick child's head; the father giving an anointing and then blessing while physically linked with both mother and child rather than the mother passively observing from a chair to the side or wherever while the father alone or with a friend blesses the child.

There are several good doctrinal reasons why it's the Father and Elders of the Church performing this ordinance.

But none are really official and probably would be seen as outdated.

I think there's hope with Pres. Nelson, hopefully he lives awhile! Not sure the person next would make the change happen.
