Another cool video from The Hu! This one is all in Mongolian (with Cyrillic subtitles), but who cares? The English lyrics can be found in the video's description, but I've reproduced them below the video here.

This is from the mid-1970s. A group of LDS missionaries in South Korea organized a K-pop group, called New Horizon. They did this to provide greater recognition of the Church in Korea. They were apparently fairly popular. Their music was in the Korean language. Here's one:

Good voices and harmonies. If there are a number of LDS missionaries who can sing as well as this, then I think more recent chart music would be improved, in my opinion that is. ✨👍

I found a new LDS-related YouTube channel! Not unusual, since I hunt for these. But this one is just MUSIC! It's called Mormon Tube. Unfortunately, it is moribund -- all 26 videos were uploaded 6 years ago, but nothing since. But it's got some nice music on there. Here's the most recently uploaded, which is an hour of LDS hymn arrangements.

I’m doing a solo acoustic show in November, at a small arts cafe- expecting 70 attendees all ages.  Mostly adults.  
the theme is Hippie night- I’m gonna just play guitar and sing.  Any requests?

Great selection…I only had to look up the Riddle Song to remind myself.

The last one is the only one I don’t like…not because it’s not quality, it’s a song I want to like but I care too much they aren’t still a couple.  The story songs tell can make or break an otherwise beautiful song for me and the best lost love songs fall into the break category quite a bit (also ones that now sound obsessive or inappropriate).  Good music taps deep into emotion for me and that level of emotion is reality to my brain.  There are some songs I absolutely love that I have to avoid because it’s almost traumatic for me to listen to them.  My brain pisses me off at times.

There is an addition that I think maybe of interest. Thank You for the Days, by Kirsty McColl. It was popular in the UK, in the eighties, although not to sure if is known in the US.

Unfamiliar- looks like in Apple it’s called Days.

I never heard it before, but then I wasn’t glued to the radio…pretty much just in the car.  Can’t stand commercials or talking with my music.  I was getting most my music from the library as broke newly married student and then poor young professor’s wife paying off student loans, lol.
