No, the WoW specifies you should use the herbs with prudence like CBD and Marijuana.[Prudence shows  MJ can affect developing brains. I don't feel "recreational use" is prudent, but otherwise I agree.] It also says you should [can] drink mild beverages of barley (beer).

I did not convert to the Church until my mid-30's and back when I was a teen did partake of smoking marijuana at times, so I know about its effects.

2 years ago I needed back surgery for collapsed discs, unfortunately from the start of the severe pain, to get it correctly diagnosed, and to take care of another problem before they would allow the the operation took over 4 months. During that time they had me on percocet and vicodin. four+ months of those and I was addicted. Getting over that addiction was not easy.

Had there been any legal way to get marijuana, I would have taken it instead of becoming addicted to opioids.

Opiods are known as the "hero" drug (hence, heroin).  When Mao took control of China, 20% of the population smoked opium.  The Chinese opium trade was begun, fostered and protected by the British fleet, even after opium was banned in Britain.  Mao outlawed opium smoking and prescribed stiff penalties.   Hundreds of thousands died.
