Prayer request please

I go in for back surgery Wed AM. They put me off because my bursitis in my elbow got infected. It looks good to me now but we'll see what the doc says when I get down there. It's 320 miles to the hospital so I hope they don't put me off again. My wife is scared I'll die under anesthesia and leave her all alone. I told her not to worry I wouldn't be getting out of work anytime soon. I'll have to live to pay off all the medical bills. Anyway if you felt like praying for us it would be appreciated. I have had a lot of back pain for a lot of years so I'm looking forward to it. Thanks.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Back pain is no fun, technology is amazing these day, and hoping it will be proven with you Rod!

My prayers go out for you my friend.  May he Lord bless you and those who are treating you.

I hope you will seek a priesthood blessing even though you have probably had your surgery by now... I believe you have the faith to receive the blessing... and of course you are in my prayers, you and Patti both.

Have a good night's float.

Haha. One night I dreamed I was a detective in London and I got in a auto accident. The perp tried to kill me and my dog, that's why i was in a hospital in England. It took fifteen minutes of being awake before I figured out I was in San Pedro, Ca. The first nurse that opened her mouth killed it.

One surgery I dreamed I was Wonder Woman.  First time I had morphine and even awake I was feeling invincible.

Looking for great success to match your faith that all will be well.  Hugs..Jeanne

P.S.  As for the floating and dreams..I have got to find some minor surgery somewhere..:P  Keep us posted!

I just wanted to thank you all again for your prayers. I went back to work exactly 4 weeks after the surgery. My back seems fine with no nerve problems below the waist. I was about ready for a wheel chair when I went in. I am once again able to walk long distances without pain. Thanks!

So happy for you.  Pain is perhaps not the worst (well, bad enough it sure feels like it, but in lighter amounts I would choose it over anxiety and depression), but the fact that it can limit us to being couch potatoes (and not even be able to enjoy being 'lazy') and remove the fun from life...it is so nice to hear that is not going to be your situation, especially given your choice of living on a boat with your wife.  What a great blessing medicine can be.
