Mormons are only the second most popular religion in Utah? In Idaho?  This makes me suspect that maybe this isn't so correct.  Someone should follow up on the methodology.

It was 2nd most after Catholic and Protestant Christianity.  It looks like they made the assumption that those religions were most numerous in every state and then they identified, in a very limited fashion, who religion was second most numerous IF you were only defining between Mormons and Jews.  

This is not worth a lot and is pretty meaningless.

From what I have read, it seems that religiously unaffiliated and atheism are categories that have seen growth.  In fact, there is now a Atheists of Utah organization:

Another shocker is turn out for a visiting Democrat this week attracted over 14000 people.  I think this shows that Utah is move diverse than what many people think.
