Has Anybody Had An Experience Casting Out An Evil Spirit?

Let's see, when we bear testimony of the Holy Ghost, it invites Him to be with us.

So when we bear testimony of evil spirits, it invites....

Oh never mind.

 

Problem is that by this logic the gospel writers were summoning demons.

 

I like what C.S. Lewis said about the devil/devils. There are two errors in dealing with them. One is to ignore them and assume they do not exist, making us easier prey. The other is an unhealthy fascination with them.

 

The best solution to such a fascination is analogized by a line from an old TV show.

 

"Well, I'd say for sure you're a vampire. A human being would be in the hospital, the beating you took."

"And that doesn't frighten you?"

"A few years ago it would have been a big turn on. I thought vampires were the coolest."

"What happened?"

"I met one."
