EllenMaksoud Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Somewhere I heard that Mitt Romney is now a 70. Is that right? Go Romney !!!
Mystery Meat Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 He is not, and I doubt he will. He does more good for the Church (whether you like his politics or not, and I don't) as non-Church general authority.
EllenMaksoud Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 I have not heard this.Perhaps from KSL?
Kenngo1969 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 He's still making public appearances regarding his run in the 2012 Presidential Campaign. I doubt he would be doing that if he had received such a call.

I doubt he would be doing that if he had received such a call.I kind of wondered about this, he was FOX last night...but doing so from SLC, you could see the Temple in the background. Does he live there now?
ERayR Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 There are a lot of us out there who are 70's. We were called and ordained when there were local 70's quorums. It is just that we are not members of the presiding 70's quorums.
Tacenda Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 http://www.cbsnews.com/news/watch-mitt-romney-goes-gagnam-style-at-az-conference/ Well, he's speaking to LDS single adults. Is that what the 70's do?

Is that what the 70's do? Lots of people have lots of good things to say to LDS single adults (Governor Romney among them). Church office is not a sin qua non to do that.
EllenMaksoud Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 He has a video on Netflix and I saw something on YouTube. Right at the last of "Mitt" someone made a comment about 2016. Hmmm
Calm Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 They would have announcements of new General Authorities on MormonNewsroom.Do they even announce new GAs at times other than Conference?
Gohan Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) I'm holding out for him becoming President of BYU-I when Kim Clark leaves. Unlikely though. Edited January 29, 2014 by Gohan

Avatar4321 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I am confident the Lord still has a work for him to do. When you see the Lord preserve a life the way He preserved Mitt's on his mission, you can tell there is a plan there. What that is I have no idea.
