I love A Mighty Fortress is our God, written by Martin Luther. Also "Bringing in the Sheaves" -I once owned a tape of the "MoTab" that had it on it and I used to dance around our apartment singing it because it drove my mission companion totally bananas! Even to this day I ocassionally send him the link!

Other then that I dig #85 How Firm a Foundation and #125 How Gentle God's Commands and the uncanonized "Amazing Grace"

As a bluegrass musician and a lover of old-time folk music (not to mention Oh brother...), I appreciated this one. I have to say though, not even the Mo Tab can touch Alison Krauss' version.

Don't know if it's a hymn, but I like their rendition of "Morning Has Broken." Maybe it's because I heard Cat Stevens do it first.

Maybe it's an Islamic hymn now : ) Man, I sure liked Cat better than Yusuf. Great song! I would love to hear that rendition, maybe I'll do some searching.

Three of the titles on your list are in the current hymnal, though they are not indigenously LDS. I thought the criteria in the OP specified that titles be neither.

Outstanding rendition by Doc and all. As a boy my grandmother would always go to "Sacred Heart Sings". It was always back in the country at small churches and the Sing was not done with accompaniment, just a cappella. It was great to hear them sing. The director would be up front of the group and his hand would go up and down to keep the beat. Hymns would be called out and then all would sing the chosen hymn. These were humble people that grew up singing in this manner and could do it well. This song by Doc reminded me of those memories.

The late Mark Heard, I Know That My Redeemer Lives (words are in our hymnal, but this version uses a different tune (Duke Street, which is the tune to which Hymn 90 in our hymnal is set):

Lift Every Voice and Sing, sometimes referred to as the African American National Anthem, written in honor of the birthday of Booker T. Washington by James Weldon Johnson (1871–1938) in 1899 and set to music by his brother John Rosamond Johnson (1873–1954) in 1900.

My favorite non-LDS hymn is "Amazing Grace". I really wish they would add that to our hymnal.

The Primary songs are very cherished by me because I am the Primary Pianist in my ward, and have been playing the piano for primary off and on since I was 15.

I love "Whenever I Hear the Song of a Bird," "Love is Spoken Here", "I Am a Child of God", and "A Child's Prayer."

I dont know if this one counts as per the OP as it was in the previous hymnal but I really like Come Thou Fount of every Blessing. I especially like this version:

Some among us are not getting the concept. The parameters in the OP exclude content in the LDS hymnal or children's songbook or that was created by LDS writers or composers, though it may or may not have been recorded by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
