I feel a moral obligation to start a thread on Kishkumen.

Please, everyone, won't you please feel sorry ... feel very sorry for poor Kishkuman.

The obsession with the people over at the board who shall not be named is really a little juvenile.

But I appreciate you're all have a good belly laugh at this episode so I'll stop being the grinch who stole kishkumen.

Can I ask why these topics are in the general discussion area? They seem like the kind of things reserved for the social hall. To be honest, after scrolling down the discussion page all I could think was "are most of these people seriously older than I am?"

Only board nannies are old.

Call it a weakness, or moment of- "The greater the intelligence, the greater the need for play". Who said that? I don't remember. But it is one of those eternal truisms....

I think I found it for you.

"The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play." -Captain James t. Kirk, Star Trek Season 1, Episode 17 "Shore Leave"

If you have to ask, you'll never understand.

This gives me chills. I want to go find my Abaya and Niqab. This is so Haraam! No smiling, not funny!

Idon't get this Kishkumen stuff. I seem to recall getting banned for questioning whether a poster with that name here was an apostate. Apparently that was evil of me to say directly to him when he was here to answer for himself but now that he is gone he is fair game to abuse? Why do we want to be like that? Not meaning to suggesr he doesn't deserve it -- but do we deserve to do this to ourselves?

Not only do we deserve it, we earned it.

It's a parody. I think you'll feel better after you start your own Kishkumen thread.

I've been trying to feel sorry for Kishkumen for literally hours now.

It isn't working.

I have emailed the Harold Camping ministry request prayers be said in the online and real-life name of Kishkumen, and that a rush shipment of digital cry towels be sent the other board. Consider it a form of outreach to those who seem to be terminally recovering.

Thanks, -Wade Englund-

Excellent idea. We should all be so compassionate.
