I Need A Healing Blessing, I Broke My Leg

Sigh, I broke my leg doing a surf take off in my dinghy. We were at Isla Contadora in Panama. I tried to post about it sooner but the internet is no esta bien. Anyway we sailed for 8 days after I did it. I made a splint out of sail battens and my wife taped it on. It's the little bone that is in your leg, it seems there is some dispute as to it's name. I fially got an x-ray and a cast in Golfito, Costa, Rica. I had to get a cab ride 97 kilometers to get the cast. It's the worst cast I have ever had in my life. I have a lot of experience in wearing leg casts. I've had lace up, fiberglass and plaster. I got a new x-ray today and it looks worrse that the first x-ray taken on Feb 5th so I went to a new doctor today in Puntarenas and he said to take off the cast and stay off my feet for a week. I was hoping to get a nice bullet proof fibreglass cast.

I'm so sorry to hear this Rod... are you at a point where you can take a couple weeks to "stay off your feet?" Did it get a good "set?" You don't want complications that will affect how you walk...Is there a ward where you are? If so, you should be able to get a blessing.

Meanwhile, prayers going forth...

I tried to post a pic of my x-ray but it won't let me upload anymore pics. Do we have a limit?

Sorry to hear of your break! Ouch!

Yes, there is a limit to uploading, and it's a very tight limit. I've never used it, for that reason. There's no limit if you link to your pic that is hosted somewhere on the 'net. You could upload to something like TinyPic and then put the link to the image into your post using the "image" button in the toolbar.

Maybe you could get a hold of some nearby missionaries by calling the mission home?

Yes, I am at a place I can stay a while. They have a ward.I'll see what I can do. I really wanted to go to church this week. I haven't been since Grand Cayman Island. To tell the truth i'll be happy to get home to San Pedro, CA or at least to Mazatlan, MX
