Nope. Murder is by definition the unlawful taking of another persons life. If the taking is justifiable under law then it is justifiable homicide(Self Defense).

Very limited. Very self-congratulatory. Very ad hoc.

Circular logic got us to the point that abortion ain't murder.

It had always been a form of homicide [with exceptions].

Harry Blackmun's opinion was/is an obscenity of circularity and pandering: and created the worst kind of social policy -> one where the least ethical but loudest whining individual's present desires trump all human experience.

Saint,

Try telling that to God at the judgment bar and see what he says. I doubt he will say, "Golly your right it is not murder, welcome to the highest heaven I have prepared a mansion for you."

Abortion is just a convenient way to temporarily get out of the consequences of one's actions, most of the time, according to these stats earlier in the thread.

it is murder. And God will judge you accordingly. I love how you talk out of both sides of your mouth on this issue.

"I believe in the law and in what the church teaches". I got news for you dude, one is at odds with the other.

Now, is there hope for those who have so sinned without full understanding, who now suffer heartbreak? Yes. So far as is known, the Lord does not regard this transgression as murder. And “as far as has been revealed, a person may repent and be forgiven for the sin of abortion.”13Gratefully, we know the Lord will help all who are truly repentant.

God requires that I believe in him. The State has no, or should have, ability to force belief.

Irrelevant. Murder has a specific legal definition. Belief or disbelief in one or more Gods, or what those claimed God(s) command at least where I live, has no legal definition, and is not mandated by State law.

Further if I was a woman and my religion forbade abortion then I wouldn't have an abortion. If my religion allowed for abortion but I was personally opposed to abortion then I still wouldn't have an abortion. In either event I have followed the dictates of my own conscience. In a secular pluralist society like the one I live in I am free to have or not have an abortion consistent with best medical practice. I don't have the authority to impose my religious beliefs on you or anyone else.

It does on other moral issues, God's teachings are clear on a number of issues the world has deemed as "choice". Abortion is the "shedding of innocent blood" for which there is no forgiveness in this world or the world to come, with few exceptions.

CFR.

It certainly doesn't read that way in quote from lds.org.
