rpn Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I've read your posts about your home, and I keep wondering whether you really have to lose it if the accident was caused by someone else who was insured and will be able to make you whole. Or if you have asked the medical people to reduce their bills? Or other things that sometimes let people weather storms like these.

I have an MRI on Wednesday.
rpn Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 You cannot settle, but you have a valuable asset in the litigation. You may be able to slow down or stop any foreclosure through bankruptcy or some other means.

I fear that after 8 weeks now, my savings will not carry us much further. Maybe 2 or 3 more months.

I have an MRI on Wednesday.I think it is time you consult an attorney, a good one. He can get the collectors off your back and make sure you get what is due to make you whole.

He can start with help with food so you can stretch your monetary reserves. He may at this point be willing to help with utilities.
