Many thanks for the information Stargazer, I really appreciate what you have said. I have plenty of subject material, to aid my research. Have a start, middle and finish lined up. I just have to make a start on the beginning, if that makes sense. As for publisher, there are a few that I am looking at. However, before I make a start with that. I thought I would see how I get along with this 'project' before I get to advance. Once again, many thanks for your advice and assistance.

New meeting house renovations with the idea of focusing on Christ.
Tony uk replied to Tacenda's topic in General Discussions
It is something that I have never been familiar with attending Church on a regular basis since childhood. The Liverpool RC Cathedral is a post Vatican 2 build, to the best of my knowledge. Although there were plans for a Cathedral long before. I suppose I am a bit of what some people would refer to has being Traditional. I like my altar area to be on a prominent area with the people looking towards, rather than at each other. However, everyone will have their own opinion on the matter. -

Hi 3DOP The altar in Liverpool RC Metropolitan Cathedral is situated in a central position within the cathedral. With the laity benches positioned around the altar. The only place where there could be two benches, are in the sanctuary are near to the alter. Normally used by altar servers, other ministers. The positioning may differ from various church to church. -

The rearranging of furniture, especially in a place of worship, has the potential to cause more concern than being of a benefit. I get that impression from a few of the posts. Maybe if things have worked reasonably well as they are, then just leave things as they are, and just make necessary improvements where and as needed. -
Thanks bluebell

Over the last few months, many people on the dialogue have responded brilliantly to my posts for advice on health and things to do regarding my (early) retirement. As a result, I have come up with a idea going forward. I have an idea, for possibly, writing a book, factual/partly modern historical, regarding an area of France that I have visited on many occasions. This is something that I have never attempted beforehand. I have plenty of material at hand regarding my subject matter. Also, I have contact details, of various people and institutions regarding further research. I wondered if any others on board the Dialogue, had any thoughts regarding this matter. Any advice, for or against would be most welcome.

I was in work getting ready for a shift change over. Being in the UK, made it after midday when it was happening. Myself and colleagues turned on a small TV as the news was coming through.

The Lake District is definitely a great place, especially when the weather is good. The town of Kendal, seems to be the main starting point for visitors. -

The building, and area looks a very peaceful place. Have to admit I am almost envious. Hope the repairs needed are resolved. -
As for symbolic violence, Jesus clearing the temple of the money lenders/changers. The early Christians, Acts of the Apostles, spreading the word of Christ openly and publicly. And Christians, various doctrines openly spreading the word of Christ through the ages. Every 3 to 6 months, Jehovah's witnesses visit the area I live. And also when interest is shown, and by arrangement, LDS missionaries visiting people. Genuine people Evangelising the faith by people in a peaceful manner.

It seems we do the same push ups on the wall. I live in a house, so able also to use the stairs to strengthen my legs. Although I do so in moderation, arthritis starting in the knee. The pickle ball sounds great fun. Sure you and the other ladies rock. 👍

Many thanks for the advice, very welcome. Over the last week or two, I have managed to get a fibre based breakfast. I can now get to work on the main meal(s) of the day. Once I get in to a routine, and I am a person who likes routine. I should be able to get along with a better diet.

Thanks for that. Never been to sure about the drinks side if things.

Many thanks for this Calm. Fruit and vegetables are on my list of 'must eat foods'. I am managing to move away from the more fat based foods that I have eaten over the years. Also started drinking fruit juice as a point to move forward from. The local supermarket, is starting to get more correct foods in.

Many thanks.

You are in my prayers Rory. I was 14 stone for over twenty years, my weight the dropped to 12 stone (sorry not familiar with other metrics). Earlier this year, my weight went to 13 stone. I think this was body responding to retirement, managed to get to 12 stone 6, which my doctor thinks is about right for my size and natural body shape. Hopefully, I can get the right diet, food and drink wise, for my ongoing health. Also back to a regular sleep pattern, as I worked shift/rota system for a number of years.
