Dusty Smith's re-conversion story (mentions this board and Garden Girl)

This is fairly new, just a few months old, and in case some of you haven't heard his story, here it is. Years and years ago, he was on this board for a time as CountryBoy, and also another user name that I forget. Since our old member @Garden Girl is part of his story (she may not longer be in mortality), and he mentions her in the video, I thought I would post this here.

It might be worth pointing out that Dusty's reconversion story was mentioned in the October 2016 General Conference by then-President Uchtdorf, and here's that address:

Was he a lawyer?

Yes. I think he posted here for a short time under a user name containing the word "dallas" and it might have been @stevedallas. But I can't be sure, because that user name has 133 posts that were posted for a couple of months in 2011, the last in November, and the posts are no longer in the database, apparently. Although the interesting thing is that the name Steve Dallas is of a character in the comic strip "Bloom County." But Steve is his real first name, I believe, so it may be that that was his.

About 60 are. Since I remembered the same name, probably him..  Go to his profile, hit see activity and then “posts” on the left side menu.

Does anyone know if "Jacob" a poster here on our board, or a different one?

Thanks for that. For some reason I thought I was looking in the right place, but did not click on that. And then a click on "topics" immediately found the thread he started in the Social Hall, "I Am So Torn".

And there are all these old responses from such as you, and @bluebell, and many others, some of whom no longer post.

This is it:

Ah ha! I hit the post button and it looked like it hung up -- and I must have hit it twice before I saw it react.

I "reported" the second post, but the mods haven't taken the dupe down yet.
