Brazil but they speak Portuguese.

I'm already teaching myself Spanish and Italian. I'm starting Portuguese in a few months. I like Brazil.

I'll bet there's something, maybe members of our church meeting secretly.

I like this news. Thank you for the map.

Nice, a polyglot. Beliefs aside, you'll be popular with the missionaries. You'll probably get asked to help translate.

I like to be useful and needed. I'd be a person with a purpose.

There are no Christian Churches of any kind here.

My chance is to go to Egypt, but I have to be 50 years old at least to be allowed into Egypt. And there is Latin America, and that is why I'm teaching myself Spanish.

Do you have a Mormon Church in Latin America?

Are you thinking there will be a Mormon Church there?  We are a Christian faith, so if they are not allowed, we won’t be either.

There may be an international branch for foreign members who are in the country with embassies or companies.  Depending on where you live, there may be restrictions on who can attend though and publicizing it or even doing more than just meeting unofficially together in someone’s home.

Are you a native to the country or immigrant?

added:  I see you are in Yemen.  Unless things have changed (I knew someone who was there decades ago, 80s or 90s so things very well could have changed), there should be an international branch in the city with the most embassies.  It probably isn’t allowed to be publicized.  We probably don’t have missionaries in that country.  You could contact one of the Dubai congregations to see if they know of any meetings in your area.

You can send a message to the bishop (the lay pastor for the local congregation) through the ward locator that you were given a link to above.  His name is Bishop Jensen.

How could I contact the Dubai congregations?

It looks like Yemen is in the Bahrain stake.  Here is what I can for their contact information.

Countries like Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and UAE are closed doors to the Yemenis. Is there a contact email?

In your shoes, I would probably try to call the number that I shared above, or even write to the address if that's the only option for you right now, and ask them what they suggest you do as a person from Yemen who wants to learn more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

You can also some study on your own if you'd like.  Go to the link below to request a free Book of Mormon.

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/comeuntochrist/requests/free-book-of-mormon

Then go to https://new.churchofjesuschrist.org/?lang=eng to find out more of what we believe.

I don't like calling. I prefer emailing. I live in Aden, Yemen by the way.

It doesn't look like that stake has an email address available.

But if you request the free Book of Mormon through that link I posted, you can give them your email address and someone will contact you.  They should be a helpful option for requesting further information on how to deal with wanting to learn more but living in Yemen.

I have a pdf copy.

The website you mentioned would send a paper copy to my address! Not a good idea. 🙂

Go to this link to request missionaries to meet with you online.  That sounds like it's the best option for you at this time.

I just did. 🙂

I am an alone person in a none Christian country.

So why are you seeking out Mormon Christians and not other faith Christians?  What is it about Mormons that is attracting you or are you exploring lots of possibilities?  There are likely other small Christian groups among those working in Yemen just as there are Mormon.  Not challenging you, just curious and wanting to be helpful.  If we understand more about why you are seeking out our faith community, we may be able to figure out additional ways to help.

Plus tell us about yourself please…and welcome to the board.  What are you doing in Yemen?  For some reason I am assuming you are not a native Yemeni, but were born elsewhere.   Is my guess right or am I way off?  :)  Were you brought up as a Christian or are you a convert?

(This board Is most of my social life because I am semi-housebound and don’t get out much , I like to hear people’s stories if they are willing though I know some like to keep their life private, so not being pushy here.)

Please know that others are asking about you being in Yemen to be friendly and helpful, but if it is not safe for you to share your situation we understand.  I know many asylum seekers, refugees and others need to be careful what they share both about themselves and their families.

Other Christians don't show tolerance. I was banned from many forums and groups. Gnostic Christians on Reddit were OK, but I can't reach Reddit anymore. Reddit just disappeared! I looked for forums, but I didn't find any active gnostic forums. I was desperate, then I started thinking, there's the Mormons. They are in Utah and maybe a few in the UK, I told myself. I was surprised to know that Mormons are all over Latin America. I considered myself a Protestant, but they are super sensitive and angry. The one in Egypt would tolerate me but I failed to contact them. Mormons was a desperate move, I admit it. I started to like you, and I hope that continues.

I am Yemeni. My family came down from the mountain to Aden in 1968. I was born and raised in Aden, Yemen. I was born on 6th April 1977. From 1998-2005 I was wandering across a few countries: Saudi Arabia, the Czech Republic, and Egypt.

I posted another post here, under the title I and the Holy Spirit. 🙂

Here in Yemen, they don't care about your faith as long you keep it to yourself. And that is what I do. I keep my faith to myself. I don't share it with people.

We are all over the world now as you might have see from the chapel locato, including temples (we have special services we participate in our temples, nonmembers can’t go in them except for the Open House when they first open unlike our chapels, which are open to all).

Checkout here to get member statistics anywhere in the world.  https://newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/facts-and-statistics

We have the most in the US and Latin America, but there are a lot of us out in the Pacific Island nations.  Tonga is over 60% Latter-day Saint (most of us prefer to be called LDS rather than the nickname “Mormon”) and Samoa is 40% Latter-day Saint.

I hope so too.  We are generally pretty friendly, but are not perfect.  :)

That must be hard and lonely.  I am always talking about my faith….and everything else to be honest.

I like to talk too, but I have no body to talk to.

I don't believe that Jesus is the Messiah (a king.) Jesus is God, not a king.

Can you accept me among you? 🙂

Jesus Christ himself claimed to be “Kings of kings, and Lord of lords”, as well as the messiah. He also quoted the Old Testament constantly. Or rather quoted himself as he is JEHOVAH, and the very word of God. Read the chapter of John, where it makes clear, Jesus speaking only the words of the Father, and the Holy Spirit speaks only the words of Jesus Christ. So yes, the Old Testament is the word of God, because Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, as you put it, is the author thereof.
