Happy Sunday everyone. 

We have a family of raccoons that have taken up residence in the attic space of our building, and now the building is infested with fleas. Our bishop and his wife went through the building in light-colored clothes to see if any place was flea-free but apparently no luck. It’s almost comical to read the messages about it on FB page and emails.

Aaawh cute. I love raccoons. To bad that Portugal don't have them. But unfortunately there is more that Portugal don't have. 😖

This is at your ward building? Surely the church can afford to get in there and take care of that.

From our Bishop: 

Raccoon and flea abatement procedures have been going on at the building throughout this past week, but we want to stay away from the building for one more week while they finish with the flea treatments and cleaning. Here’s a quick overview of what is going on.

 

Pest abatement contractor completed their raccoon trapping procedures and one area of the building was treated for fleas.  This next week the building will be treated more thoroughly and cleaned before we begin our meetings on Sunday, 3 Sep.

Good to know, but it sounded like your bishop and his wife went above and beyond before getting outside help. But being a member for over 50 years, I've seen how members do all they can before making some calls.

We once had one in the attic/crawl space.

I went up there and stomped around and made nasty growling sounds, VERY LOUDLY, moved stuff as if I was looking for him.

Never heard from him again!

Honestly I thought I knew where he was hiding, because I heard him making noise in that area, and jumped up the ladder immediately and hit that area hard.
