Missionary portal down?

I heard a rumor that the missionary web portal is down and won’t be back up until after conference. Can anyone confirm that?

False rumor. I just logged into my daughter's. It works fine.

I just logged into my son's and it was working fine.

I thought it was because I heard some people got mission calls that didn't give a location but the letter said it would be revealed in General Conference. 😉

The portal isn't just for applying to become a missionary.  It also has training, lists of requirements etc that the missionary is supposed to do before coming on their mission as well as other things for when they are in their mission.  I could see if there was a tech problem for a day or so, but deciding to close it down purposely for that long would be odd given all the things there.

Things go offline all the time. Sometimes it's one thing, and then it's another. Last week there were a few days when I was having trouble logging into the Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR). Our stake patriarch reports that the Patriarch subsystem has been unavailable for the past 3 days (it is -- I checked).

It's a complex system with a lot of functionality. Complex things break sometimes.
