Those are reported deaths.  23 of those deaths happened over a month ago.

I re-read the article.  I still don't see it.  Help me out here.

Nah.  I'm good.  It's your link.  That's why I asked for a CFR.   People just post false and misleading information because it suits their bias.

No, I'm serious.  CFR.   Please post the direct quote from the link.  I was kind enough to answer your CFR.  Your turn buddy!

If it wasn't my link (I'm pretty sure it wasn't, as I have read it 3 times) provide the real link.  Show me where you saw that.

I don't care if you're serious or not.   It's pathetic when people post false or misleading information just to push an agenda but can't even be bothered to read the data first.

Record cases in Utah at 7,247!.  I think it is a record day for deaths too at 44.  Tragic.

Utah adds over 8.9k new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths, amid new single-day high since start of pandemic

Good grief!

Good grief is right.   Deaths have been trending down since Omicron started, even though cases are through the roof.  That's why they focus on cases.  I wonder how many of those "reported" 13 deaths were from months ago?

I thought you were talking about my last link I posted.  Thank you for posting the quote.  I did read it.  I accept that some of the deaths reported were previous deaths - I missed that part.  Why would I stop wasting your time though?

Ok.  Then you're illiterate.   Either way, try posting factual information for once.

Here in Utah?  Omicron just barely became the dominant variant in Utah within weeks.  Death is a lagging indicator.  No way are omicron deaths affecting death trends in Utah yet.  You are just making stuff up. CFR.

While Omicron is less deadly, it is also more transmissible.  Sometimes the less deadly and more transmissible diseases account for more suffering and death over-all.  Its a numbers thing.

Good grief!

The 13 deaths are virus "related."  What does "related" actually mean?  Was it a case where the people had other comorbidities and then tested positive?  Why can't the government and/or media give us a better picture of what is really happening?  Also, why are the media and government officials continually focusing on cases and not on people who are actually sick?  8.9k cases! does sound a lot better than 100 with cold like symptoms.

I noticed the DN is using "of" covid instead of "with" or "from."  I guess "of" sounds more "from" like so more might be scared into getting the vaccine?

This coming from the guy who thinks vaccines are more dangerous than Covid for certain demographics.  Just curious, what is the daily death rate and totals for vaccines in Utah.   We have been hovering around a death rate of 10/day for a long time now.  10 per day.  Daily vaccine rates have been higher than covid rates per day too.

It doesn't matter. If a person dies from Covid, they die from Covid.  Their comorbidities just make them more susceptible to die from Covid.  It is based on doctors and coroners judgment and not yours - thank goodness!

We track cases with every disease.  Why should Covid be different.  No conspiracy theory here buddy!  Since when have we ever not tracked "cases" in a pandemic.  It is kind of an important indicator of spread.

which explains why people not at risk from COVID are smart enough not to get vaccinated.

This seems to be suggesting that there are some demographics where vaccines have been approved where the vaccine is more dangerous than the virus.

There is zero logical reason for some people to get the vaccine.   Zero.

Why?  Unless you are suggesting that the vaccine is more dangerous than the virus, there is plenty of good reason for everyone who has been approved to get the vaccine.

You are suggesting that the vaccine has greater risks than the virus.  That is bull crap deadly lies, not based on any known facts!

I wont delete it.  I did edit it to be more precise though.

I might add that you are openly and publicly opposing the position of the church and the prophet with such statements.  You are against science and your own religion on this one.  Just sayin'

Not according to the Utah.gov reporting database.  That says the last time we had a 7 day average of 10 deaths was around 2 months ago.

We have been hovering around 10 death/day since around September 6th.

I am kind enough to provide a link (unlike you).

https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/region/us/utah

I see no dip whatsoever since September 4th.  We have been hovering between 7 and 14 deaths/day that whole time.  There are only a few days at the end of December around the holidays that we went below that.  But that is accounted for in the ginormous spike in January, which actually comes from deaths in December.

Where is this dip from Omicron?  CFR.

I did provide a link.  Just because you can't be bothered to read it.   Go back and try again.  That data differs greatly from what you posted.  If I care enough to figure out why, I'll download the source data and run it.

A very cursory glance shows that my source defines COVID death and requires proof or probability of COVID as cause of death.   Your source doesn't give any such assurances that I can see.  My guess, based on your history of posting wrong or misleading data, is that your list includes car accidents and hang nails, providing they also test positive.

Do you know what a link is?  It is something you can click on which takes you to the page in question.   You didn't provide a link.  You provided a non-clickable general website (utah.gov) which is a HUGE site that can take you all over the place for hours.   Please post a clickable link taking me directly to the page and data in question.   I'm not going to take your word for it, and I'm not going to spend hours searching through a giant website wondering if what I am looking at is what you are talking about specifically.
