I wish that we were required to report reinfections to the CDC so that we could have a comprehensive way to track them. If we were required to report these cases, I think it would be clear that these are not isolated incidents. It is too improbable that I alone am seeing this many cases. Contrary to the article, my cases did not have worse symptoms the second time around. One, in fact, was completely asymptomatic. The others were probably equally symptomatic to their first infection. Here's another study (preprint) that observed decreases in antibody levels in the months following an infection. That could explain some who are re-infected. The protection of antibodies might be short-lived. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.07.09.20148429v1 1

I think that is the same one I reference before though, from the Kings College in London: https://inews.co.uk/news/uk/covid-19-immunity-lost-reinfection-530965 There is also one out of China which comes to the same conclusion: https://abcnews.go.com/Health/covid-19-antibodies-fade-months-study/story?id=71406787
