Papa has a bad heart, well one that needs repair. Prayers please.

I have had a number of tests, none were good. I guess I should have studied, huh.  I know, I was surprised as any that they found a heart, but now I have to go tomorrow to have stints put in at a min. If that does not go well, I will be transferred to another hospital for open heart surgery. So, here is hoping for stints alone. 

Anyway, could use a prayer or two. It would seem my wife wants to keep me for a little longer. Go figure?

Stents work pretty good. I have had mine for more than a decade. Open heart surgery is really common now. The docs who practice it have had lots of practice. It is major stuff so can get complicated. Then again so is flying a jumbo jet , but it is done constantly and with mostly positive outcomes. As my doctor is fond of pointing out, the surgeon is not usually the problem, it's the darn anesthesiologist that is dangerous. Make sure you check him out specifically.  Prayers going your way Bill.

Well, very tired, but thanks to a good wife, my longest friend on record (50+ years) and a good doctor, I was able to have a number of stints put in around my heart. Still in hospital, hope to escape home soon. Thanks for all prayers and comments!
