Thanks, -Smac I would be more impressed if the experts not only didn't listen to the words, but had several people of various different centers of claimed expertise in body language all watch it in silence and then compare findings first with each other and then with the verbal content. 4

I think Elder Clayton has Apostle written all over him. Considering 3 of the 7 Presidents of Seventy are ethnically non-white this is also a perfect opportunity for the first non-white apostle. Although I have a bias towards Elder Kearon. You can't beat a good Brit!

Historically, new apostles have disproportionately come from the presiding bishopric or pool of LDS university presidents. That would also indicate Kim Clark. I know a lot of people are predicting "non-white" apostles, as if God finally had bought in to quotas and affirmative action mentality ("How embarrassing! We have to do something about this now! It's 2018, and we only have a handful of non-white 70s. Etc.). Hopefully, the call is actually the Lord's will, not what will make people feel good because it makes the Church look less racist in some people's eyes when looking at the chart of GAs. 2

She reported that he talked about how the change happened. Together the apostles prayed over whether they would keep the pattern of having the senior apostle becoming the next president. Then they prayed over whether they would reorganise the first presidency or not. Then President Nelson stepped out of the room and prayed over counselors. When he came back the counselors were sustained and set apart. President Nelson was also set apart, but I can't remember if that was done before or after they prayed about reorganizing the presidency. He also shared his feelings about each step, but she didn't really say anything about that except that they felt the Spirit strongly. Edited March 5, 2018 by Rain 5
