Is anyone else a bit puzzled by the bubble titled "porn" (the largest one in the center of the power point recently leaked)?

In my opinion there is a link between porn and joseph smith polygamy (incredulity over church history).  If men and women are trying to fight porn in their relationships it becomes a furious fight like emma fighting joseph over the secret wives.  Put another way - porn is a resurgence of the "worship of Asherah".

And the church wants to leave polygamy as far as possible in the past, as much as it wants to distinguish porn in the church.

True, but the church keeps having these "relapses" with polygamy - like coming clean for the first time that Joseph may have wed up to 40 wives.  It's a closet full of polygamy with a door that just won't stay shut.  Binders full of all these women.

Sorry - this scene just flashed before me of the "Young Pope" with Jude Law.  He has this 35,000 yr old paleolithic venus figurine in his office - and the priest keeps looking at it.  When you say "as far as possible in the past"  this problem (asherah/venus worship) goes way - way back before the agricultural "fall" of our judeo-christian "covenant" parents.

An interesting and pertinent blogpost from an LDS convert who was a participant in the adult entertainment industry before she joined the Church. She describes the struggles she and her husband face as they break away from the chains of addiction to drugs and pornography and are saved by the Atonement.

I have received in the last few weeks emails upon emails of people bravely sharing their story with me, specifically their addiction to pornography. Just the sheer volume of the emails, it makes it impossible to respond to everyone, but I would like to take the time to honestly address pornography and my struggle with it, as someone who has watched AND been the spouse of an addict. Please also remember that I just offer my perspective and experiences. With my husband’s permission, I share both our stories and pathway to healing with the hopes that it resonates with my brothers and sisters who feel like they are at the end of their rope with this specific addiction.

If you are speaking in addiction parlance, relapse means returning to the addictive behavior.
