No There continues to exist the possibility such as it is. That slight possibility should not confused as proof. There is a possibility that Phoenecians circumnavigated the world. There is a possibility that in the middle ages magicians transmuted lead into gold. I say these things because they involve applications of known science and not metaphysics. Once you mix standards of proof with metaphysics you're just fooling around. Edited November 18, 2016 by Bob Crockett 1

Duncan just wanted to know what the article said, so I gave him some paragraphs showing what the article argues. I'm not sure why you put words into my mouth. I'm open to the idea that the Lord appeared to President Snow, but the historical evidence seems pretty sketchy. Edited November 18, 2016 by mapman 1

It's not about his vision in the Salt Lake Temple and reorganization of the FP. Appears I conflated things. My apology. But worth noting the source is exact same for WoH as for the other story: LeRoi C. Snow. And it was likewise written several decades after the alleged events occurred. The wikipedia page makes mention of inconsistency with LeRoi C.'s account. You can read it here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Windows_of_Heaven_(film) Perhaps LeRoi C. was a type and shadow of the late Paul H. Dunn... ;0) --Erik
strappinglad Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Tangentially, if you are the type of person who will not accept ET unless one shows up on the White House lawn during a CNN broadcast, then yes there is no evidence. However, if you are slightly less skeptical , there is good evidence available . As a start with a bit of light reading, I suggest " Out of the Blue " and related themes. These evidences at least will make one go hmmm. As for L.Snow's experience , it may have been like the one Stephen (sic?) had in the NT. Who recorded that one and when ? I take it on face value . Because we are told of the extreme power present with God , I always assume ' vision ' not actual physical presence unless other details require it.

A very close friend had one such vision of someone other than Christ. If a Spiritual experience must be seen and not felt, then no, as defined I have had no vision. However, as Christ said unto to Thomas, "Blessed are those who have seen and believe, but more blessed are those who have not seen and believe" (Too paraphrase). Not seeing Jesus Chirst in a "vision" is the only qualifier, then I guess my experiences would mean nothing to the unbelieving...but they mean much to me. Back in 1820, did Jesus appear to Joseph Smith (to be seen by physical eyes) or was it a spiritual vision that only Smith could see if he was accompanied by an unbeliever? Thanks, Jim

Thanks, Jim Yes yes he did appear to young Joseph, and to others as well.

Funny you should say that. It already happened. Many people already see evidence of ET showing up on the White House lawn during a CNN broadcast. However, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence before they should be accepted. It would take a very large amount of evidence before one could reasonably conclude what was captured on camera really was ET.
