rpn Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Since yesterday AM I've gotten error messages suggesting the link is bad in three different browsers, two different devices, and at multiple times. Can't find anything on sltrib or ksl (though if desnews was having a day long outage, you'd think it would be reported by both). Its facebook page is working but makes no mention of a problem. Anybody else having the problem? Have a suggestion?
JAHS Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I did too. Couldn't see MormonTimes or LDS Church News. Seems to be OK now using Google Chrome.

Anybody else having the problem? Have a suggestion? I tried it just now (www.deseretnews.com) and it works fine. By the way, the Deseret News website has as new design. For those who haven't visited it lately, I recommend you check it out. And download the app for smartphones and other handhelds.
bluebell Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 The new design might not be working with your internet browser. Try changing it (like JAHS did).
Jeanne Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Does anybody miss just reading a good' old newspaper? The smell of new books??
stemelbow Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Oh I thought this was going to say people can't read it as in can't stomach it. If that were the case I'd say yessir. Just playing. I read D news quite frequently.

It works for me on both Firefox and Chrome. Maybe updating the browser would help. Edited October 19, 2016 by Scott Lloyd 1

I used to work at the Utah State Library Commission...we filled up the Book Mobiles..(which are slowly leaving us)! I loved the touch and feel of new books. Nothing can compare to me than walking through a library for a treasure! 1

rpn Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 But it isn't for me, on two devices and three browsers. All three updated today. So puzzling.

A wi-fi problem perhaps? I was having chronic connection problems a while back and finally replaced the broad band modem at my house. The problems went a way. Try using one of your devices at a different location, such as work or the hotel down the street, anywhere you have internet access.
