To keep up; keep going; maintain. Aid, assist, comfort. 2. to supply as with food or provisions: 3. to hold up; support4. to bear; endure5. to suffer; experience: to sustain a broken leg. 6. to allow; admit; favor 7. to agree with; confirm. FWIW Kevin Christensen Canonsburg, PA I like that one... lets use it in a sentence: "We sustain leaders when they make pour policy and we grin bear and endure the consiquences."
Tacenda Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 (edited) You know, maybe Scott has a point, although I'll be watching the game and having a small get together. But it dawned on me that some Christians may not always give up as much as say the Muslims or maybe Jews, or some other religions too. Do we even pray that much like the Muslims? But Jesus came to get rid of the letter of the law, right? Edited February 7, 2016 by Tacenda

But Jesus came to get rid of the letter of the law, right? Jesus came to fulfill the law (His own law, as he was the God of the Old Testament). There are aspects of the new covenant that require obedience with precision. Baptism performed in the proper mode and by one having authority, for example. Edited February 7, 2016 by Scott Lloyd

I tend to believe that God is a huge football fan! I don't know of many (friends, family and fellow ward members) who aren't looking forward to the game (unless they just don't like watching football). I'll miss a bit of the game because of a meeting I have (that does come first), but will be home to watch the rest of the game with my family today.

Is pour policy like when we use Aunt Jemima's syrup for 4th of July breakfasts? 2
HappyJackWagon Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I watched it and predicted the score would be 24-10 , Broncos. Today I'm writing that prophesy in my journal so my posterity see how inspired I was. 1

Nah, even with my amazing prophetic ability I want them to know that I'm still human and capable of mistakes. I don't want them to build up a grand vision of infallibility that I could never truly live up to. Then again, maybe I'll go back and edit the prophecy later.
Jeanne Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Bummer. I really was routing for the Panthers..I like Manning..always have...but my little vent towards Denver Broncos goes back to whining Elway..back in the day. Congrats Denver Broncos..next year, it is Seattle!!
