So says the ISIS fighter, and the Iranian Ayatollah (Shiite), and the Sunni Imam, and the Rabbi, and the Catholic Priest, and the Jehovah Witness, and the Protestant, etc.

This kind of glib answer is no help at all.

It is if you have the Spirit.

It is if you have the Spirit.

And thus it boils down to this. You and LDS seekers have the spirit. So you are right and everyone else is wrong.

Got it.

And around, around we go.

I'm pretty sure I could go find a message board largely populated by members of any other religion and have a nearly identical discussion.  Despite your lip-service to saying you don't believe your experience is superior, your actions (in this thread) demonstrate otherwise.

Sorry, you are wrong. You are thinking of God as a man acting like one.

No you are wrong. You have no evidence of your position only your faith which you need without evidence.

Well said.

Good. This makes me happy.

Whatever you need.  Just don't condemn me in order to maintain you very narrow minded world view.

The Spirit is evidence enough. I have plenty of that (as does Nehor, I am sure). There are many who reject the Spirit as evidence. As such they do not receive such evidence.

You misunderstand. I do not believe that am superior. I do believe my spiritual experiences are in as much as they are connected to truth.

I never would dream of condemning you. Thinking you have been misled by the devil is not a condemnation. We all spend time in our life being led by the devil, often unbeknownst to us.

You bet. I know. You are special.  Your access to the spirit is far superior to the humble devote Catholic, the faithful pious evangelical Christian, the believing Muslim or the radical religious extremist that is a member of ISIS as well as that of mine... a person who still prays, pleads, seeks and asks God, if there is a God, where to find truth.  Yet you brand me as a corrupted heretic and you constantly avoid answering an honest question.

And who is that?  Don't be cute or coy. I know you like to be so.

Why that would be me. Duh.

I have heard the stories of conversions for many people in many faiths. By most every standard my spiritual experiences are of a different caliber. I have bathed in the presence of the Spirit and been brought to shaking by the spirit exceeding my strength to bear it. It was not feigned. Either I am insane and my insanity is of a brilliant kind that lets me at times see the future and is not accompanied by any of the usual pain of mental illness or I am conversing with something beyond me in amazing ways that loves me.

You are attempting to apply ethics to God. Are you trying to convince me that you can see from God's viewpoint and pass judgement on Him? One who doubts communication with God?

You are among the least qualified to make such a judgement and it is the height of hubris to imagine that you are capable of making such a judgement. Even those who know God would not dare but for some reason you do. You have issues.

I don't misunderstand at all and I didn't say you believe you are superior.  I said you clearly believe your experiences are superior to others.  There's a significant difference.

I am not special. I just happen to have the Gift of the Holy Ghost. I have only a small idea why I was chosen for this great and terrible honor but I am not going to downplay it or pretend it is meaningless out of some kind of misguided and God-offending humility.

You must be joking.  It's one of the worst condemnations in a religious context.  As a missionary in Tennessee and Kentucky, do you have any idea how many times this same charge was leveled at me (and others) as a member of the Church?

Nobody said we think you are superior. Just you think you access to God is.

Calling someone's approach to find truth and heretical seems fairly condemning to me.

Honestly I see little use in continuing this dialogue.  You have a world view that is much different than the one I now have.

Best wishes..

Your refusal to accept my answer or even like it does not me I haven't responded. I will repeat it: the answer to any question of truth, good and evil, light and darkness, right and wrong can ONLY be answered by the Holy Ghost.

The end.

Probably as many as I got in my mission. But no it is not a condemnation. It is a judgment. There is a difference. You have accused me of a superiority complex, AKA pride. One that it is equally heinous. Yet, I know that is not a condemnation from you. It is a judgment. And you are entitled to make it.

I a sense yes. I do have the Gift of the Holy Ghost. There are not many people who have that in the world. I am one of the lucky few.

As I said to Nehor I say to you. Further discussion is a waste of time. You, Nehor, LDS persons.... and this based on what the LDS Church teaches... believe you have some special channel to God that other honest faithful people do not have. Thus your so called witness trumps all.... other spiritual experiences, evidence, reason, rational thinking and so on.

And I understand. I have been where you are. I used to say and think the same thing.  At times I long to have that back. On the other hand I don't long for it.  It is a insular approach to seeking what may be truth in my opinion. And it can be very damaging.   But if you are happy then great as long as your approach does not harm others.
