Avatar4321 Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 My last calling was in the primary as a teacher and with the scouts. I learned quite a bit about how rough a time the presidency has when the primary president thanked me for being one of the first teachers that was consistent, which surprised me because I was gone a bit more than I liked.show up and do your best. That's all anyone can ask of you
Rain Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 (edited) When I was visiting teaching coordinator I was able to borrow a set of keys for the clerk's office and used the computer and printer there. I had a computer, but at the time you could only use the church's computer. I would think that pretty much everything you would need to do you could do there. Edited November 24, 2014 by Rain
rpn Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Just read the first post. It is a great gift the bishop gave you. What he said in essence was, "God selected you directly for this. Some others have yet to get that revelation confirmed, but you can get it confirmed yourself. When He gives an assignment, all you have to do is learn what you are to do (from the manuals, from the advice of others, and most importantly from God), and then do it as well as you can. That is always enough for Him. So no matter what other naysayers may think or feel or even want, you can safely and kindly smile, but cheerfully NO that you are enough, you ARE where your Heavenly Father wants you. Go, don't be afraid. Don't feel inadequate. Don't pay any attention to anything but the most important thing ---- With God with you, who can be against you." My advice is to Go and do, for the Lord giveth no commandment unto the children of men save He shall prepare a way that they may accomplish it (slightly paraphrased). Grab it. Go with it. Seek and do what the Lord's wants you to do. When your leaders don't agree with you, pray for them, pray for others to receive the inspiration that you have had, be patient --- for not all cometh to God in the same way or time. And try to determine for what cause He wants you in that specific place. What a blessed experience this will be (not to say that naysayers might not be a thorn to you, because they could be. It's just that any tears you cry will be temporary and handle-able for the good of those you serve).
