Do You Have A System For Marking Your Scripture App?

I was tickled to learned how to mark my scriptures in my lds app and link the scriptures, ensign and other things together.  It's made reading the Ensign a lot of fun.  

 

At first when I started I was thinking something like orange highlight for missionary work (one of my callings), green underline for inspired questions.  But I can't remember what goes to what and I don't know what else I will be interested in marking.  

 

Over the years I've seen systems where there would be a table in the cover of the scriptures that you could quickly flip to remember what color goes where.  Have you figured how to do something like that with the app?  Or is there another method you like better than one color/pattern per topic (you could run out of colors quickly!) ?

my only system is I don't have one! Personally speaking I had an epiphany once where I realized I spent more time colouring the scriptures than I did in reading them! So I still mark them up but don't spend as much time doing it

I do not mark. When I am at home I have the big versions for near-sighted people and just write in the scriptures. I have even corrected a few Bible verses. Anyone interested in the Nehor Translation?

I can see that happening for some.  Hasn't been much of a problem for me.  What I've been excited about lately is reading the Ensign and then being able to go to the scriptures and link that paragraph or two in the Ensign to the scriptures.  It was great for the article this month about the dates in the D&C. I'm really excited about it for the November Ensign.  Before I would copy and paste the conference quotes into wordperfect and then print it out on a post it pad.  That was time consuming so I really didn't do it very often and I would find myself reading my scriptures trying to remember about that talk that worked with it.  This is just so easy!

Yes! I did a quick online check this morning and everything I saw used the same word.  So if you have a different word for the bold below I would love to hear your version.

I love this.  Actually, I have the old faithful Walmart receipt, and some colored pencils that help me along!

It's funny. I have had triple combinations that have more color than NON-color. I decided to simply NOT color. It is interesting, however, to look at someone else's text (complete with multiple colors) and wonder, "what in the world were they thinking?!"
