halconero Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I attend a singles ward, but unfortunately there's very few LDS in the northeast. I'm trying to date, but not so much luck so far. I'm just hoping to find someone that loves me as much as I love them.What part of the North East, Junkie? I'm in Toronto, about 2 hours from upstate NY.

My marriage was excruciating and I MUCH prefer the loneliness of being single to the loneliness within marriage. Of course, I still hope that one day I will come across the love of my life.

We got divorced when I was 34 and she was 32. We re-married 9 years later, exactly 20 years to the day we first got married, I was 43, she was 41. My wife died 4 years later. 15 years later I married my present wife when I was 63 and she was 53. So how old was I when I got married?...take your pick. 1

She lived 350 miles away, but we met a couple of times and knew we were compatible. I think the old stigmas about online dating are fading away. It's worth a shot.

I also know some who have tried and they haven't worked out so far, but I think it is well worth giving it a shot as long as one is cautious up front.
firepatch36 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I was 30, she was 25 (26 the next month). We didn't start talking to each other until she moved to a different state then we dated long distance; but it worked out in the end.
