That makes no logical sense: how can GtF be "the only One" that possess the whole mind of Infinity "in all the world/universe of humans", yet "There are others ... who are the One we refer to as God"?

I was pointing out your error. He is not "the only One" if by that you mean he is the only person who possesses the whole mind of Infinity "in all the world/universe of humans". He is one among many others who are the same kind of being he is, and he is also one among all who are as perfect as he is and as our kind of being can be.
When I put "God" into quotes, I am specifically referring to "God the Necessary Cause Of Existence In The First Place".

Okay, but do you have only one person in mind or are you allowing for the idea that there are many who are that kind of being?

Existence cannot simply, mindlessly BE. It must be Infinitely Sapient, or else our own sapience has arisen out of a cause/existence that possesses not sapience, which is an ex nihilo of the greatest magnitude, requiring more faith than I can muster....
I agree. There are many different kinds of beings, and our kind is the most supreme kind of being there is with some of us being more advanced and perfect that some others of us who are the same kind of being we are. We are God.

As has been stated here many times, evolution only explains the changes that occur as specifies develop or survive due to changes in the environment. The whole survival of the fittest thing. If you want aliens to have started the whole process, that's up to you, but it has nothing to do with evolution or with current evidence.

Go back and read for comprehension. I said nothing about aliens starting anything. That avenue is just another branch of intelligent design which is an avenue to make macro evolution palatable to creationists. Before stating my position please make sure what you are stating is my position. This is not the first time for false attribution from you. Please refrain.

Yeah, that was me, and still getting my head around the possibility.

Yeah, that was me, and still getting my head around the possibility.

I have no problem with you if alien intervention is what you want to believe. To me it is no more viable than any other macro evolution approach.

My problem is with those who attribute positions to me that I don't hold then pretend they are mine.

Yeah, that was me, and still getting my head around the possibility.

The possibility that we are offspring of "aliens" who travel around space creating planets and perpetuating their species may sound kinda strange because we don't generally talk in those terms, but it's actually the most simple explanation for how we and all of the other kinds of life got here on this planet. It would still require more intelligence than we currently have in this world, since it would require people like us who have enough knowledge and intelligence to travel through space and create planets, but it's not so hard to think that we may someday advance to that level so that we too would be able to do the same things. No need to start from scratch or to imagine some kind of being that is entirely different than us. It makes everything seem so much more real to me than when I try to imagine something I can't imagine, and Jesus himself said that we should be as perfect as our Father in heaven.

I thought that was basically the Mormon understanding of the future, we progress and then eventually go around creating worlds -- did I miss something?

I don't know if you're missing them but you're not mentioning a lot of the details in that summary view.

You're kidding I thought I was very detailed.

And God showed Moses a vision of the world, from the beginning to the end thereof, and there was no inhabitant of the earth that Moses did not see, from the beginning to the end thereof. And Moses said, "Now I see that man is nothing, which thing I had never before supposed"....

Yeah, well don't run too far with that. Man is capable of destroying this planet, and is also a god in embryo. I wonder if Moses saw the cavemen in his vision?

The scripture says he saw it all, every particle right to the end, including our capability to destroy this planet....

Yep, and I wouldn't call that nothing.

We have the literal power to destroy "the world of humans", which is enough like "destroying the planet" to suffice as an accurate statement. Moses still saw "that man is nothing". If there was a literal Moses having that literal vision, I'd say his description is likely more accurate than anyone choosing less demeaning terms for the human race....

The earth was here a long time before man was, and it will be here a long time after we have gone the way of the dinosaurs. We will either do it to ourselves or mother nature will get so tired of us trashing up her home that she finally cleans up the place by kicking us out. Unless, of course, Jesus comes back

I recommend asking our Father what Moses meant by using the word "nothing", because in the eyes of our Father we're not nothing, in the literal sense, and that's not the way Moses meant that, either. We're the most supreme kind of being on this planet even in our fallen condition, and with the help of our Father and our Savior and the Holy Ghost we can be as great as they are.

However compared to the gigantic forces at play in the cosmos our mortal power is nothing.

Give us a little more time and we will figure out how to screw up on a cosmic scale.

No matter how "big" our species gets, and that includes expanding throughout the cosmos, we are as "nothing" compared to the power and presence of "God". That is what Moses saw. No matter how many souls he saw in vision, or their accomplishments it was not even a beginning of what "God Is". Yet we are "soul mates" to "God" when we want to be....

Yep, shame Moses didn't tell us what happened to the Atlanteans and instead of being overwhelmed by the sheer numbers didn't explain to us why God put the preAdamites here...sigh
