The anti-Mormons seem testy tonight. I guess they really hate the fact that we got to tell our own story.

It's a popular acronym. Stands for "if I recall correctiy." Similar ones are "IMO" for "in my opinion," variations of which include "IMHO" and "IMVHO" where the "VH" stands for "very humble." Also, "AFAICT" for "as far as I can tell" and the old standby, "ROFL" for "rolling on the floor laughing" and its variants.

I believe there's a dictionary of them somewhere.

I don't often write, more that I like to read. This conference was one of the best in my recent history/memory. I thought it was fantastic and the talks all hit home. Have a lot of changing to do.

Yes- I found a lot to improve myself. At the same time I'm feeling very good about my membership in the Lord's kingdom.

I missed priesthood session due to being a bit too sick to drag myself to the stake center (not to mention not wanting to infect everyone I contacted), so I am glad to see that session's talks are already up and available for viewing.

In general, I am noticing that they are really working hard to get the conference talks up and available for viewing. As of this post, it is only the talks of the very last session that haven't yet been made available for download and viewing. That's a huge improvement over the way it was a few years ago, when it wold take them a week or so sometimes.

Some have noted how this has been the best conference in a long time, or ever, and I agree. However, it is possible that I thought the last conference was that way, too, and the one before it as well. It may be that conference is actually improving, or perhaps it is simply that conference satisfies us so well we lose all prespective. Not that that is a bad thing.

My favorite talks have been D. Todd Christopherson's and Neil L. Anderson's. For some reason, I don't remember ever hearing from Elder Anderson before. Probly because he is new.

Did anybody catch Pres. Uchtdorf's comment about how he read a bumper sticker that said "don't hate me because I sin differently than you" or something to that effect. It was about not judging others and forgiving. It was during the Sunday AM session. Sorry if this was already mentioned. I have not followed this thread all the way through.

Tbh... I found the statement remarkably... correct. We need to rid ourselves of them, and sell them for a life of happiness.

He was sustained three years ago. So this makes seven conference addresses for him, since members of the Twelve speak at every conference.

President Uchtdorf's talk was one of the best I have ever heard. His are always good, but I especially loved this one.

Enjoyed Elder Hollands' talk, as well, about the the parable of the workers in the vineyard.
