You might want to check on recent developments there. ICE is largely refusing to identify themselves as federal law enforcement in appearance. That is not that odd. A lot of federal agents dress in plainclothes. The fact that many of them are hiding their faces to avoid identification is very troubling. They clearly don’t want to be held accountable for their actions which is not a good look for law enforcement. Especially when they are extrajudicially executing people or detaining them without normal due process.

I don't think there is any nefarious intent by the Church, but I think that perhaps the ones vetting the "charities" being contributed to should perhaps be scrutinized a little closer to see if personal biases are causing them to overlook things that should be a concern.

The first half of this thread was really good. Especially because I have seen some blog posts by people I follow who have been critical of the church investing in these Islamic charities but I know better now because of the information presented earlier in this thread. 

The "flavor of the month" politics arguing has been kind of dumb. I wish people got all the arguing about ICE out of their system before it was cool. I'd rather read about something else now.
