Jaredite Record and the Sealed Portion of the plates

Heard somewhere that the sealed portion of the golden plates the angel Moroni gave to Joseph Smith contain the Jaredite record.

Since the Jaredite record, 24 plates, found by Limhi how could that small amount equal like 6 inches or 1,000 to 1,500 more pages of the Book of Mormon?

Were they really large plates?

Perhaps Moroni / Limhi used the Urim and THummim and more, much more, was revealed to them and they wrote it down?

The brother of Jared's record is far more voluminous ("all things from the foundation of the world unto the end thereof”) than the 24 plates of history that Ether kept. Moroni translated both, but sealed the larger translation of the brother of Jared's record. The Book of Ether is the translated 24 plates.

As with the Book of Mormon in general, the # of plates : # of pages ratio seems very small, and yes, I would say the use of the interpreters has something to do with that, for translation (whatever media and type of communication; in this case, writing) involves as much conveyance as it does reception and interpretation. The interpreter technology may have enabled the prophets to engrave things in some very interesting space-saving ways.
