Yes they are feasts, I think I misunderstood your earlier post. And the great thing about our particular Church is the diversity. People from Latvia,Russia ,Lithuania and some Greeks and they all have different types of food for the feasts. Are you going to attend the Greek Church on Theophany? If you do, it's quite long, and you may wind up standing (Orthodox do not traditionally sit) so wear some comfy shoes.

But I suppose people have had more important things to do and deal with this last couple of years than be engaged on a discussion board.

We have had a lot of turnover of posters on the board over the years. I only brought it up to mention we have had some limited exposure to orthodox ideas before, which in my experience is unusual in Latter-day Saint communities. So hopefully you won’t get as many misunderstandings and silly questions. This is one reason I have loved this board over the years, while not that many, there have been and are some well informed believers of other faiths joining us and sharing their ideas. Asking someone about their faith and how it impacts them directly is much better than reading books.
