Since @The Nehor's last thread on this subject was dubbed "dubious" :) ...

I'll add a second witness -- the information cited in the OP was sent out as an official communication to Bishops and a host of other stake/ward/branch leaders.

Can't wait!

Just had two more Webelos advance across the bridge to Scouting at Cub Pack Mtg this week.  Both got their Arrow of Light, etc. They both just turned 11.  I keep wondering what they're gonna do next year:  Maybe institute the Young Pioneer program in order to ingratiate ourselves with Vlad Putin:

Does Putin embrace Soviet-style Communism? I thought the Cold War ended in 1991 or so with the collapse of the Soviet Union preceded by the destruction of the Berlin Wall.

He is old school in the sense of his power base, I would say, though he has apparently taken it to even greater heights.

The only difference between now and 1916 is now there are show elections for the Tsar.

Lenin's Tomb is still a main attraction on Red Square, Vlad Putin still believes in authoritarian rule, and the Young Pioneers continue to exist as the Eastern Bloc and Chinese answer to Western Scouting.
