Oh, I am sorry. I thought infanticide was the killing of an infant. I guess I was mistaken by Virginia delegate Kathy Tran who clearly stated that a child may be aborted while in labor up to the moment of delivery and choose to abort it. I know it is cute to play word games and if it helps you sleep at night, then please, sleep in as much peace as you can achieve. However, killing a child at the moment of birth is infanticide and murder of a child.

Nope, Kathy Tran doesn't advocate for that either. You're being manipulated by liars who want to rile you up to use you.

I'm going out on a limb here:

A democrat can actually support some republican views and not endorse all democratic views, and vice versa for a republican.

I'm a conservative person and gave a rep point for this statement, but feel that based on the dem behavior since the election it is becoming seriously difficult to find common ground...  and now this latest abortion issue they are proposing has just about done it for me...

Like I said in another post on this thread, a quiz I took around election time, told me I leaned to being a democrat. I've always been a republican in the past. So I've evolved but, I can't stand either side right now.

I unfortunately read an article written by a nurse who attended during a late termination.  Yeah, it’s barbaric. My mind just can’t deal with any justification of this.

Did the nurse identify themselves?  There are unfortunately a number of hoaxes out there.

Advocate maybe not, but her testimony about her bill and her answer to a specific question about aborting as the mother is dilating leaves no doubt. Also listen to the comments by the Gov. of Virginia .Sad .

For the view of a former abortion Doctor as he testified to Congress I suggest youtube   : Dr. Anthony Levantino (sp?) 1200 abortions. I will not link to it as it can be very disturbing.

From the Virginia bill summary.

“Eliminates the requirement that an abortion in the second trimester of pregnancy and prior to the third trimester be performed in a hospital.

“The bill eliminates all the procedures and processes, including the performance of an ultrasound, required to effect a woman's informed written consent to the performance of an abortion; however, the bill does not change the requirement that a woman’s informed written consent be first obtained.

“The bill eliminates the requirement that two other physicians certify that a third trimester abortion is necessary to prevent the woman's death or impairment of her mental or physical health, as well as the need to find that any such impairment to the woman's health would be substantial and irremediable.

“The bill also removes language classifying facilities that perform five or more first-trimester abortions per month as hospitals for the purpose of complying with regulations establishing minimum standards for hospitals.”

DKathy Tran’s answers. I’m Grateful her bill was defeated in committee.

Delegate Gilbert: “How late in the third trimester could a physician perform an abortion if he indicated it would impair the mental health of the woman?”

Delegate Tran: “So, I mean, through the third trimester. The third trimester goes all the way up to 40 weeks.”

Gilbert “Okay? But to the end of the third trimester?”

Tran: “Yep. I don’t think we have a limit in the bill.”

Gilbert: “Where it's obvious the woman is about to give birth, she has physical signs that she is about to give birth, would that still be a point at which she could request an abortion if she was so certified? She is dilating?”

Tran” “Mr. Chairman, that would be a decision that the doctor, the physician and the woman would make at that point.”

Gilbert “I understand that. I'm asking if your bill allows that.”

Tran: “My bill would allow that. Yes.”
